A massive thank you to our MC and comedians! 🎤😂

The ADHD NZ Colour Tie Gala Dinner raised $70,000, and a big part of the magic was the people who kept the room laughing, buzzing and on track all night.

To our brilliant MC, Anika Moa: thank you for steering the night with warmth, wit and perfect timing. You kept the energy high from the first canapé to the final bid.

To our fantastic comedians, Bridget Davies, Sophie Stone and Steven Lyons: thank you for bringing the laughs. You had the whole room in stitches and set the mood for a generous night. Generous hearts and full bellies make for big bids!

You gave your time and talent to a cause that matters to so many Kiwis, and we’re truly grateful. 🧡

The ADHD NZ Colour Tie Gala Dinner raised $70,000, and that would not have happened without the incredible businesses who backed us.

Your generosity filled the room with colour and gave our auction the lots that got the paddles flying. Most importantly, it means real support for the 1 in 20 New Zealanders living with ADHD, through an organisation that gets no government funding.

We’re so grateful to have you in our corner. Here’s to doing it all again next year! 🙌

Still catching my breath from
The ADHD NZ Colour Tie Gala — Thursday 15th October at the Pullman.

It's taken me until now to properly reflect. I had work, family & travel commitments, straight after the event pulling me back into real life.

Thursday night was like a dream. A room full of incredibly generous people and so much energy.

Months of preparation. The endless lists, the vouchers, the menus, the sponsors, the auction items, the magazine, the seating plans that changed 20 times, & burning the midnight oil...

And then it all came together so splendidly. It was even more than successful than we could have wished for. It was magic.

Standing on that stage, looking out at a room that showed up for ADHD in such a big, colourful, kind way — I felt so proud.

I’m still buzzing from the ADHD NZ Colour Tie Gala Dinner. Together we raised $70,000 for ADHD NZ, an organisation that supports around 1 in 20 New Zealanders with no government funding.

To every bidder who raised a hand and pushed one more bid: thank you. Your generosity was the heartbeat of the night.

To our sponsors and donors, the team behind the scenes, and every guest who filled the room with colour and energy: you made it unforgettable.

Ten years ago I walked into my first REINZ Auction Championships as a Novice competitor. This opened the door for me to follow my dream of being an Auctioneer. Today I am honored to walk into REINZ as part of the collective of bidders and judges who will over see the 26th running of this prestigious event. I wish all of my comrades and competitors great courage over the next 2 days of competitions. May you enjoy the process and the lessons that come from being brave enough to put yourself in the arena.
