As the vineyard emerges from winter and prepares for spring growth, it's the perfect time to experience The Landing at a slower pace.

Be among the first to taste The Landing Chardonnay 2025, The Landing Rosé 2026 and The Landing Pinot Gris 2026. Ben will share insights into the season, the vineyards and the winemaking behind each wine, accompanied by a selection of canapés.

Today is World Nature Conservation Day. At The Landing, conservation isn't a campaign; it's the work we do every day.

Across our 404-hectare property in the Bay of Islands, we're actively protecting what the land holds: 160 hectares covenanted for native bush, wetlands and 45 registered heritage sites.

In 2025, we planted thousands more native trees and continued our regenerative viticulture programme. Small shifts, long-term thinking.

Kaitiakitanga — guardianship of the land — is not just a word we use. It's the reason we're here.

A very special result for The Landing.

Our 2023 Chardonnay has been recognised at the 2026 Sommeliers Choice Awards — an international competition held in the US, dedicated to identifying wines suited to the restaurant and hospitality industry. The awards are judged by Master Sommeliers and leading on-premise beverage directors.

– Double Gold
– 97 points
– Wine of the Year New Zealand

This vintage came with its challenges, which makes this recognition feel especially meaningful. A reflection of the care in the vineyard and the focus in the winery.

Our 2022 Madre Chardonnay and 2022 Madre Syrah were also awarded Gold (93 points).
