What a transformation! 👏

The historic Old Post Office façade is looking pretty impressive as work continues on the new TRYP by Wyndham hotel.

We love seeing the original heritage architecture retained alongside the modern hotel addition - a great example of old and new coming together in our city centre!

We’re looking forward to seeing the final touches come together and welcoming TRYP by Wyndham to Palmy! 🏨

City Centre Refresh Project 🏢🎨
Completed: Hope Kitchen Cafe / Hope Vineyard – 156 The Square

Another City Centre Refresh is complete! 🙌

What was once a plain white frontage has been transformed with a bold black finish and striking Hope Vineyard Church lettering, giving the building a much stronger presence along The Square.

A big shout-out to Doug Bradley Painters for bringing the refresh to life!

Owners Shane and Lydia Read are delighted with the result, with the refreshed frontage helping give the building a fresh, distinctive look while complementing the community-focused space that now calls it home.

This is the second property in Shane and Lydia’s portfolio to take part in the City Centre Refresh Project, following the fantastic transformation of Fishermans Table at 60 The Square.

We’re loving seeing the difference these refreshes can make to our city centre, one building at a time 🫶

Huge congratulations to the Palmerston North Knights Lightsaber Group on their awesome feature with RNZ, celebrating the community they’ve built right here in Palmy! 👏

Palmy BID is always proud to partner with the PN Knights for our annual May the 4th Be With You event, and it’s epic to see their creativity, passion and achievements recognised on the national stage.

City Centre Refresh Project 🏢🎨
Before & After: Fishermans Table – 60 The Square

Palmy BID and Palmerston North City Council have completed the refresh project for 60 The Square, with the clean & paint completed by the fantastic team at Doug Bradley Painters

Look how much tidier and modernised the building looks now! 👇

Owners Shane and Lydia Read of Readland Investments are delighted with the outcome, with a real emphasis on highlighting the architectural detail of the building through the striking contrasting colours. Credit to the Doug Bradley Painters team for executing it so well!

Fishermans Table is the second property in Shane and Lydia’s portfolio to take part in the City Centre Refresh Project. 🙌

Palmy BID are stoked with the result and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this space - and for our next building refresh!

Watch this space! 👀
