This week, we partnered with Energy Market Authority as a key player in the energy sector in the Powering Lives Pavilion at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore’s Career Fair. We had the pleasure of sharing about our initiatives in leading the energy transition with students keen on joining the energy sector.

We hope those who visited our stand enjoyed the experience, and that our purpose resonates and inspires the students to use their energy, time and skills to drive a better tomorrow.

EDP launched the second edition of the EDP Labelec Merit Award, a competition for PhD thesis in the field of energy that seeks to reward excellence in all markets where the group is present, including APAC.

The award will distinguish the best Doctoral Thesis about any of the following topics: renewable energy, grids, distributed generation and electric mobility, green hydrogen, energy storage and decarbonization.

Academics also play a big part in the energy transition and this is an excellent opportunity for your project to have a positive impact on the energy sector.

As the Lunar New Year celebrations have concluded, with the ushering in of the Year of the Rabbit 2023, we wanted to proudly recall key highlights in 2022.

This month, EDPR Sunseap celebrated the Lunar New Year by giving back to our local communities in various territories.

- In Vietnam we collaborated with the People’s Committee of the My Son community and the Bac Phong community to distribute a total of 650 Tet (Lunar New Year) gift packages to the local communities in Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa province
- We also collaborated with the Goheung County Office in Korea to donate necessities to residents in Goheung County.

At EDPR Sunseap, our energy and heart drive a better tomorrow. We aim to continue to make meaningful contributions to the local communities (where possible) while leading the energy transition and changing tomorrow now.

We are proud to share that EDPR Sunseap has achieved an outstanding milestone of 130MWp of distributed generation projects in China! This includes approximately 30 solar energy projects that are completed, under construction or secured across several provinces.

More than 40% of the total capacity (53MWp) is already in operation and the projects that are secured and under construction(80MWp) are expected to be fully operational by the first half of 2023.

China is a key market in the APAC region. With significant potential for the growth of renewables, EDPR Sunseap is committed to furthering the adoption of renewable energy solutions in China, contributing to the region’s path for sustainability over the coming decade.

As a leader of the energy transition, EDPR Sunseap aims to deliver superior value for all our stakeholders from people to planet.
