🗣️Helping Leaders Perform Under Pressure, Uncertainty & Change
🎤Global Keynote Speaker Michael W.

Allison is the creator of Adversity Leadership®, a leadership methodology that helps leaders and organizations perform under pressure, navigate uncertainty, and build resilient cultures in rapidly changing environments. His work is informed by a lifetime of leading through adversity across multiple industries, sectors, and high-consequence environments. Born in Jamaica, Michael experienced firstha

nd the impact of disaster, displacement, and uncertainty before immigrating to the United States. At 17, he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Sergeant and Platoon Section Leader with 1st Marine Division. During combat operations in Fallujah, Iraq, he was wounded by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED), earned the Purple Heart, and led Marines through some of the most demanding conditions imaginable. Following his military service, Michael faced another battle: navigating PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and the difficult transition from military to civilian life. Rather than allowing adversity to define him, he committed himself to understanding how people think, adapt, recover, and perform under pressure. Over the next two decades, Michael built a diverse leadership career spanning transportation, government, technology, higher education, entrepreneurship, and organizational development. He led large-scale railroad operations for Norfolk Southern, managed multimillion-dollar technology initiatives for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, served as Director of Military and Veterans Affairs at Florida Atlantic University, and helped build an INC 5000-ranked company serving residential, commercial, and government clients. Complementing his practical leadership experience, Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems, an MBA in Applied Management, studied Homeland Security and Emergency Management, completed the University of Florida Veterans Entrepreneurship Program, and pursued advanced study in brain science, trauma, resilience, and human performance. Today, Michael works with executives, organizations, government agencies, universities, and leadership teams seeking to strengthen decision-making, culture, adaptability, and performance in high-pressure environments. His signature frameworks including Adversity Leadership®, Break The Bottle®, Protect The House®, Leadership Re-Entry™, and LECQM 2.0™—provide leaders with practical systems for creating clarity, developing courage, building trust, and sustaining performance when the stakes are high. Michael's central belief is simple:

Leadership is not tested during times of certainty. Leadership is revealed during times of pressure. His mission is to equip leaders with the mindset, systems, and leadership disciplines required to perform when it matters most.

I just wrapped up delivering my keynote, "Protect The House: How to Unleash Your Brand Without Burning Out Your Energy, Trust, or Relationships," at Social Media Week Lima 2026 ( ).

The concept is simple: We protect our homes because they matter. We maintain them, invest in them, and guard them against anything that could damage them. The same principle applies to our personal brand, our relationships, our reputation, and our well-being. If we want sustainable success, we must learn how to protect the house.

What made this experience even more special was being part of a conference that is so much more than an event, it's a true connection point. Social Media Week Lima brought together incredible leaders, creators, marketers, entrepreneurs, and innovators who are shaping the future through social media, marketing, AI, content creation, and business growth.

I was honored to share the stage with such a talented lineup of speakers and grateful for the opportunity to learn from their expertise as well.

One of my favorite parts of the event was connecting with so many audience members after the keynote expanding on the conversation, sharing some laughs, taking photos, answering questions, and signing copies of my books for supporters who stopped by to say hello.

A special thank you to Jessika Suter, Amber Stoll, George Whitcher, Mark Suter, and the entire NOW Marketing Group team for creating an exceptional experience and bringing together such an amazing community.

Thank you to everyone who attended, engaged, connected, and shared your stories. Your energy and enthusiasm made this event unforgettable.

Remember: Protect the house. Protect your energy. Protect your trust. Protect your relationships. Protect your brand.

In just a few days, I'll be heading to Social Media Week Lima 2026 ( ) to share a message that every leader, entrepreneur, and content creator needs to hear.

We're living in a culture that celebrates hustle, visibility, and constant activity.

But what happens when growing your brand starts costing you your energy, your credibility, or your most important relationships?

My keynote, Protect The House®: How to Unleash Your Brand Without Burning Out Your Energy, Trust, or Relationships, is designed to help people build influence without sacrificing what matters most.

Success should never require you to abandon your values, neglect your family, or exhaust yourself in pursuit of relevance.

If you're attending Social Media Week Lima, I invite you to join me on June 17 at 2:30 PM.

Let's talk about building a brand that lasts because it's built on trust, leadership, and sustainable success.

See you soon, Lima!

True leadership isn't just about surviving trauma; it's about leveraging that Adversity to build elite organizational cultures and drive strategic growth.

I recently joined Benjamin Nevares on episode #84 of the Ben Thinking podcast to discuss the intersection of trauma, leadership, and professional growth.

We bypassed the surface-level advice and got straight to the tactical realities of transitioning from combat to the boardroom and scaling as a veteran entrepreneur.

In this conversation, we talked about:
✔ How unprocessed trauma impacts mental health.
✔ The unique transition challenges veterans face.
✔ Why traditional education is evolving.
✔ And actionable insights for creating a vibrant workplace culture.

A massive thank you to Benjamin for providing the platform for this high-stakes, authentic conversation.

Looking forward to joining 400+ United Way leaders, professionals, and volunteers from across the Northeast as we explore how leaders can strengthen people, teams, and communities through pressure...not despite it.

Because communities do not rise because pressure disappears.

Communities rise because leaders do.

Pressure does not create leadership.
Pressure reveals it.

Honored to serve as the closing keynote speaker for the United Way Northeast Regional Conference on 6/3/26, presenting:

Adversity Leadership®
Lead with Precision When It Matters Most

In today’s environment, leaders are navigating:

Uncertainty
Emotional fatigue
Staffing pressure
Complexity
Increasing community needs
Constant decision-making under pressure

This keynote is not about motivation.

It’s about helping leaders:
SEE clearly.
MOVE courageously.
And strengthen CULTURE together under pressure.

I’m excited to serve an incredible network of leaders committed to strengthening communities across the Northeast region.

Because communities do not rise because pressure disappears.

Communities rise because leaders do.

A lot of people want growth, but very few people want the discomfort attached to growth.

Growth requires adjustment. Accountability. Reflection. Change. Sometimes it requires letting go of habits, environments, or mindsets that once felt comfortable but no longer support who you are becoming.

That process is uncomfortable.

I think that is why many people stay stuck longer than they need to. Not because they lack potential, but because comfort can become convincing.

Real growth usually asks something from you.

More discipline. More honesty. More patience. More emotional maturity. More consistency.

The people who continue growing over time are usually the ones willing to stay committed even when the process stops feeling exciting and starts requiring deeper work internally.
