Business Blitz: Cooper County 🚗💨

What a great day exploring Cooper County and getting to know the entrepreneurs who are helping their communities thrive! From food and retail to hospitality and essential services, these business owners are putting their heart, creativity, and hard work into what they do, and it shows. ❤️

We were also excited to have Gwen with the St. Louis U.S. Small Business Administration District office join us, along with members of the Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce. Having community and economic development partners at the table makes these Business Blitz days even more meaningful!

🥘 Coco Loco Cuban Cafe
We kicked off the day with lunch at Coco Loco, serving a Cuban-inspired menu that is healthy, fresh, and full of flavor. Yvette has stayed true to her heritage and poured her heart and soul into her restaurant. You can feel that passion in every detail!

🤠 Red Dirt Rag Co
Jenny, a self-proclaimed homesick Texan, has grown Red Dirt Rag Co. into so much more than a western wear shop. With a women’s store, men’s and kids’ offerings, and some seriously cute window art, there’s plenty to explore!

🏨 Hotel Frederick
A true piece of Cooper County history! The Frederick first opened its doors in 1905 and continues to be a must-visit destination. Holly, the owner and operator of the hotel, lounge and restaurant, along with her boutique, Jovi's Juju, gave us a tour and shared stories about the building’s history and the renovations that have taken place over the past 120 years. What a special place!

🛍️ Momma Tried Boutique
We loved visiting with Angela and hearing the story of how she and Diana got started at their first location in Blackwater before making their way to Boonville. They have truly embraced downtown Boonville and love being part of the community and its downtown events.

🧺 Route B Coin Laundry
Cheri and her husband, owners of The Little Laundry Co., purchased the laundromat in September 2025 and have continued making improvements. They just brought in several new, top-of-the-line washers with digital payment options—and they have some exciting news to share later this year! 👀

Days like this are a great reminder of why small businesses matter so much to our community. Every one of these entrepreneurs has a story, and we are grateful they took the time to share it with us.

Thank you to all of the business owners who welcomed us into their businesses today, and to Gwen, the St. Louis SBA District Office, and the Boonville Chamber for joining us!

We’re already looking forward to our next Business Blitz! 💼❤️
