This September, Tepa Companies and our owning Tribe, the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians, are honored to support the Nome Cult Walk, which begins on September 13.
⁠
This annual 100-mile ceremonial walk commemorates the resilience of Northern California Tribes and honors those who endured the forced removal of 1863. As participants journey from Chico to the Round Valley Reservation in Covelo, California, they help preserve an important chapter of California history while ensuring these stories continue to be shared with future generations.

We are proud to stand alongside the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians in support of this tradition, which brings communities together through remembrance, education, and cultural preservation.

Meet Steve Blystone, the Project Manager for our Construction Division at the Tepa Companies!
⁠
Like many career journeys, Steve’s career wasn’t a straight path, and that’s what makes his story so unique.
⁠
Steve began in restaurant management before earning a degree in economics from Colorado State University. When one chapter closed, he took a new path into the construction industry, starting as a laborer.
⁠
From there, Steve continued to grow, taking on roles as a Foreman and Superintendent before moving into Quality Control, where he spent 13 years building his knowledge, experience, and expertise.
⁠
Today, Steve brings every chapter of that journey to his role as a Project Manager. His diverse experience gives him a unique perspective that helps him navigate complex projects, support his teams, and drive successful outcomes.

We’re happy to have Steve on the Tepa team and look forward to seeing all he continues to accomplish!
