Well, the team at SCCG Management may soon have a new home to call their very own right back where it all started for us: Downtown Las Vegas - 4th Street & Las Vegas Blvd. The recently refurbished and renovated historic building. Is appropriately called “The Office” and it sits in the shadows of The Strat and across the street from the world famous Pawn Shop where Rick Harrison and gang film “Pawn Stars” every year! I can even see our old casinos on Fremont Steet from the new office! Looking forward to making it our new home for many years to come before the end of 2026 and bringing in 2027 from Downtown !!🎲♥️🎰

🎰♥️🎲Nearly 35 years of partnership, hundreds of thousands of road and air miles, thousands of morning walks, late night huddles, meetings and phone calls. I have enjoyed every minute of a life long collaboration, “father & son” type relationship with D. W. “Dave” Barrick. Yes, we had pioneered together (and sometimes apart) some of the most innovative transactions in the USA 🇺🇸 casino industry including riverboats in Kansas City, Missouri, casinos in Biloxi & Tunica, Mississippi, casinos on Fremont Street, Downtown Las Vegas, NV, tribal gaming developments in Oklahoma & much more! BUT, mostly what we did was live life to its fullest and without regret, persevere, treat people respectfully and with dignity. It wasn’t always “perfect”, nothing is, but we can look back with some pride at our accomplishments and look forward with hopefulness for our children and their families and for the future. At this year’s Global Gaming Expo 2026, I will personally honor this man for his contributions to our industry and mostly for his years of friendship, mentorship, teaching, love and respect. You can’t put a value on that like was can on some of our many deals over the decades. It is priceless!🎰♥️

🇺🇸✈️🇺🇸In 1994, both Air Force One and Air Force Two, carrying President Bill Clinton & Vice President Al Gore, respectively, landed in Independece, Missouri (home of the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library) at approximately the same time on the same day. It is extremely rare that a US President along with his Vice President will fly at the same time let alone land at the same airport albeit in separate planes. I was a young lawyer in Kansas City, Missouri and I knew members of the “advance team” for both Clinton and Gore and I was invited out to the tarmac to be part of the VIP greeting party for each. Standing in front of Air Force One and Air Force Two - greeting the President and Vice President of the United States - it doesn’t get much better than that!🇺🇸✈️🇺🇸

🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️♥️🏃🏻‍♂️‍➡️Going back to the archives … the year is 1980! If I can credit any one thing in my past for the discipline and stamina I have for my professional life, it would be training beginning as a sophomore in high school as a long distance runner - one mile, two mile, cross country & more!! At one point, I was running 40-50 miles per week on a consistent basis. During the long runs, through country roads and city streets, I would be entirely in my own thoughts, contemplative & serene & disciplined. Great training for a career in the global gambling business. I find myself often drawing upon that reserve of focus and intensity to work through unique challenges and complicated obstacles! ✈️🎲✈️Back in !! I’m enjoying having offices in both Las Vegas and Miami, Florida. I’ve always been bi-coastal to an extent and now with the migration of businesses to Florida from the east coast and Nevada from the west coast - it makes more sense than ever. I’ll be racking up more of the frequent flier miles … if I ever have time to use them all (total available between all airlines exceed 3,000,000 miles :))✈️🎰✈️

⛳️🍊⛳️Arriving in Miami, Florida - home of SCCG - Latin America! Staying at the Trump National Doral, Miami - it was one of my father’s two favorite golf clubs in America! The other was Pebble Beach Golf Resort in Northern California which I had the pleasure to stay at a few months back. I’m not a golfer like he was (I did have a stint of regular play when I lived in Kansas City, Missouri and golf was religion there) but I enjoy the palms trees and the greenery all around! Looking forward to a busy day of meetings in Miami and traveling tomorrow to Boca Raton for the more of the same and then back to !⛳️🍊⛳️

🎰♥️🎲The weekend bachelorette festivities are over and fun was had by all at the The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas ! Great hosting daughter Jessica Crystal and her amazing friends in a town that can still deliver “the best time ever”!! Heading to the Miami Office of SCCG - Latin America to make plans for rescheduling our Venezuela Trade Show & Conference in 2027.
