Many high-performing leaders are succeeding externally while operating without real support internally.

They are capable, committed, and trusted by everyone around them.

But behind the scenes, many are carrying constant pressure, decision fatigue, and expectations that never fully let up.

And over time, even strong leaders can begin to operate in survival mode without realizing it.

One of the biggest misconceptions about leadership is that struggling means someone lacks capability.

What I see far more often is this:
Leaders who are highly capable, but unsupported.

👇 What do you think organizations most underestimate about leadership pressure today?

Be honest—how long has your next great idea been sitting in your notes app, half-built, just waiting for you to finally take action?

So many brilliant coaches and consultants are walking around with a half-built program tucked away in their journals or percolating in the back of their minds. The idea is solid, but what about the time, structure, and support to shape it? That part often slips through the cracks.

If you’ve been carrying an idea for months (or years), you’re not alone. You’re not behind. You’re human.

Your next program doesn’t require more pressure. It needs a pathway.
It needs space, clarity, and a little strategic momentum.

Where does this land for you today?
Is there a program you’ve been wanting to bring to life?

✨ If so, join me for our FREE “Idea to Launch: How to Build, Brand & Market Your Next Program with AI” webinar on Wednesday, June 10th at 12:00 pm Central.

Come experience how AI can help you finally move that “someday” program forward.

Many high-performing leaders are carrying more than people realize.

From the outside, they appear capable, confident, and successful.

But behind the scenes, many are navigating constant change, making difficult decisions, supporting others, and carrying significant responsibility with very little support themselves.

One of the biggest misconceptions about leadership is that sustainable success comes from pushing harder.

What I’ve observed is the opposite.

The leaders who sustain their impact over time are not necessarily the strongest. They are the ones who build systems, support, and space to think clearly before exhaustion becomes the norm.

👇 What do you think is the most underestimated challenge leaders face today?

Before I became an Executive Coach and Leadership Strategist, I spent years in corporate leadership roles doing what many leaders quietly do every day:

Holding everything together.
Managing competing demands.
Trying to be everything to everyone all at once.

From the outside, it often looked successful. Internally, it felt more like surviving than thriving.

I know what it feels like to question whether you’re leading well enough while carrying too much without the right support, systems, or development around you.
And over time, I realized something important.

Most leaders do not fail because they lack capability.
They struggle because they are expected to sustain high performance without the structures that actually support sustainable leadership.

That realization shaped the work I do today and ultimately led me to create The Advancement.

My approach to leadership development is rooted in the belief that leadership is not just about performance. It’s about alignment, clarity, emotional awareness, adaptability, and creating systems that help people lead effectively without losing themselves in the process.

I now partner with leaders, HR professionals, coaches, and organizations to help develop leadership that is both high-performing and sustainable.

Because surviving your leadership role should not be the goal.
Thriving in it should be.

One of the most useful ways leaders can use AI right now has nothing to do with writing content.

It’s practicing difficult conversations before they happen.

A lot of leaders delay tough conversations not because they lack skill, but because the emotional weight of the conversation keeps building in the background.

This is one way to reduce that friction while preparing more intentionally.

👇 Try this AI prompt:
“Act as an expert leadership coach specializing in conflict resolution. I need to have a difficult conversation with a team member who is [insert issue].
First, ask me 3 clarifying questions about the situation to understand the context. Once I answer, run a roleplay simulation where you play the team member, and I play the manager. Give me your responses one turn at a time, and after 3 turns, stop and give me constructive feedback on how I can communicate with more empathy, clarity, and authority.”
This works because it creates space to:
• organize your thinking
• anticipate reactions
• practice staying grounded under pressure
• communicate with more intention

AI is most powerful when it strengthens leadership capability, not replaces it.
👇 What’s one leadership challenge you’d be curious to “practice” with AI before handling in real life?

Bonus tip: you don't have to type out your exchange with AI, once you paste your initial prompt, use the voice to text option to try a more simulated conversation.

We’re just one week away.

And if your schedule has felt full lately, you’re not alone.

That’s exactly why spaces like the ICF New England Annual Conference matter.
A chance to step out of the day-to-day…
to reconnect with your purpose…
and to learn alongside a community of coaches who are committed to growing their impact.

I’m looking forward to connecting, learning, and sharing ideas with you, especially during my keynote session, “Harnessing AI: Empowering Coaches to Inspire and Ignite Client Growth”.

If you’re attending, I can't wait to meet you in person.
If you’ve been considering it, there’s still time with only a few seats remaining.

One of the simplest ways to keep growing as a leader is to stay connected to new ideas.

Not just through formal learning, but through the conversations you’re listening to every day.

Podcasts are often where some of the most practical, relevant thinking is happening right now. Leadership, HR, business, AI, team dynamics.

Instead of me sharing a list, I’d rather build one together.
👇 What leadership, HR, or business podcasts have you been listening to lately that are actually worth the time?

If there’s an episode that stood out, feel free to share that too.
Let’s create a resource others can come back to.

Most meaningful leadership moments don’t feel comfortable.

They show up as hesitation before a conversation.
A pull to stay where things feel manageable.
A quiet awareness that something needs to be said or done.

And often, fear is part of that.

Not because something is wrong, but because something important is at stake.

In Emotional Agility by Susan David, this idea is explored in a simple but powerful way: emotions are data.

Emotional agility is not about removing difficult feelings.
It’s about recognizing them without letting them decide for you.

Because clarity doesn’t come from avoiding discomfort.
It comes from understanding what matters enough to move forward anyway.

👇 Where might choosing courage over comfort change the outcome this week?
