AI isn’t optional anymore. It’s becoming essential to how we get work done.

And for HR, we have two opportunities: learning to use AI effectively in our own work and helping our organizations navigate the people side of AI adoption.

That’s exactly what we’ll explore at the 2026 SHRM Tennessee Conference & Expo on Monday, September 14 at 4:15 PM.

My session, Leveraging AI in Human Resources: Strategies for Competitive Advantage, is a practical, interactive session designed to help HR professionals build greater clarity and confidence with AI while considering the larger role HR can play in successful adoption.

Because AI adoption isn’t only a technology initiative. It’s also about people, readiness, communication, learning, trust, and change- areas where HR has an important voice.

If you’ll be in Knoxville, I’d love to see you there.

The HR leaders who will thrive in the next five years aren’t waiting to figure out AI.

They’re building confidence with it and recognizing that HR has an important role in how AI is adopted across the organization.

That’s part of the conversation I’m looking forward to having at the 2026 SHRM Tennessee Conference & Expo in Knoxville.

If you’ve ever wondered:
👉 Where do I even start with AI in HR?
👉 How do I use it without losing the human side of human resources?
👉 What role should HR play as our organization adopts AI?

This session is for you.

We’ll demystify generative AI, explore practical applications you can use in your own work, and look at how HR can help shape thoughtful, responsible AI adoption across the organization.

You’re not just building a coaching business—you’re doing it all, wearing ALL the hats. Coaching. Marketing. Admin. Tech. Content.

It’s exhausting. And unnecessary.

The game-changer? AI skills.
Not tools you dabble in. Skills you own.
Skills that transform how you run your business from the inside out.

That’s why I created the Solopreneur Coach Launchpad—a 3-month experience where you don’t just build systems. You build AI-Fluency.

Structure and personalization are not opposites.

A thoughtful coaching development plan can provide direction while still leaving space for the client’s individual goals, strengths, challenges, and pace.

AI can help organize themes, outline potential milestones, and generate questions to consider. But the coach must still review, adapt, and decide what genuinely serves the person in front of them.

Your expertise leads the process. AI simply helps you create the structure around it.
Inside Solopreneur Coach Launchpad™, coaches learn practical ways to use AI while keeping their judgment, values, and client relationships at the center.

Strategic thinking doesn’t always require a half-day retreat or a detailed forecasting process. Sometimes it begins with 15 focused minutes.

Choose one realistic change that could affect your team. Work through the four questions in this Future-Readiness Check and notice where your current plan may need more flexibility.

The goal isn’t to prepare for every possible outcome. It’s to identify one conversation, assumption, or decision that deserves attention now.

Save this exercise for your next leadership or team meeting.

09/08/2026

Uncertainty becomes harder to manage when every change has to be processed for the first time under pressure.

Scenario planning gives leaders and teams an opportunity to think ahead together. It helps you identify what could be affected, which assumptions may need to change, and where an early decision could create greater clarity later.

You won’t leave the conversation knowing exactly what will happen.

You will leave better prepared to respond thoughtfully if it does.

What possibility would be helpful for your team to explore before it becomes urgent?

It turns out the recommended treatment for next-level leadership is less guessing and more intentional practice. 😉

I wrote The Advancement: A Leadership Playbook for Leaders Who Are Ready for the Next Level to give emerging and established leaders practical strategies they can return to as they grow.

It’s designed to help you strengthen your confidence and self-awareness, navigate challenges, build stronger relationships, approach change with greater adaptability, and turn leadership knowledge into meaningful action.

If you’re ready to advance the way you lead, explore the book here:

The more successful a leadership habit has been, the harder it can be to question.
That’s what makes relearning uncomfortable. You aren’t necessarily correcting something that was always wrong. You may be reconsidering an approach that worked well in a different role, with a different team, or during a different season.

Choose one leadership habit you rely on regularly and ask:
Is this still helping my team move forward, or is it simply what feels most familiar to me?

Leadership advancement sometimes begins with the willingness to become a beginner again.

09/01/2026

Some of the most important leadership growth doesn’t come from adding another skill.

It comes from releasing the need to always be the expert.

Experience gives us valuable knowledge, but it can also make certainty feel safer than curiosity. The challenge is recognizing when the situation needs an answer from us and when it needs us to listen, experiment, or invite another perspective.

Unlearning doesn’t diminish your expertise. It helps your expertise remain useful as your leadership evolves.

Where might you need to loosen your grip on the familiar to lead what comes next?
