📢 Announcing Impact Icons 2026: Celebrating Black Nonprofit Leaders

As we approach Black History Month, the Parkes Philanthropy team is proud to announce the return of Impact Icons, our annual initiative honoring Black nonprofit leaders driving meaningful, community-centered change.

As a Black-owned firm partnering with underrepresented leaders every day, we know how valuable amplification and awareness can be for leaders doing the work.

With that, we’re looking to uplift and amplify the work of visionaries building our future right now. Whether you’re tackling education equity or climate justice, working locally or globally, we want to highlight leaders demonstrating that history isn’t just something we study, it’s something we’re actively creating.

Know a Black nonprofit leader redefining what’s possible in their community? Nominate them or encourage them to apply, application link in the comments. 🙌🏾

We’re in uncertain times, and it’s no surprise that the landscape of philanthropy is changing as well.

That’s why we put together this white paper, featuring exclusive ethnographic research conducted in partnership with Social Lens Research, about how people across the US are currently thinking about giving and generosity.

Featuring insights from 223 diverse individuals, “Redefining Generosity” shares the four key insights we uncovered – and how nonprofits can leverage this information to strengthen their giving and community engagement programs.
