Those first few weeks with a newborn can bring so many surprises…and even more questions. 👶

Is all that grunting during sleep normal? Why does my baby want to eat again already? And why are evenings suddenly so hard?

From newborn sleep and feeding to fussiness and development, there’s a lot to figure out. And sometimes, what helps most isn’t another parenting tip, but a chance to ask questions and connect with other mothers going through the same thing.

Learning to manage big feelings takes time, and toddlers & preschoolers need a lot of help along the way.

The stoplight gives parents and kids a way to notice what’s happening, put words to it, and recognize the early signs before feelings get too big. Over time (and lots of repetition!), kids can begin to understand what yellow feels like in their bodies and learn what helps them get back to green.

Join tomorrow’s Toddler & Preschooler Group to talk about this and all the other challenges this age group brings.

What I love most about our groups is that we’re never limited in what we can talk about. We may start with sleep, but there’s always room for what’s going on in your world that week…the questions, the hard bits, the fun parts, and everything in between.

Beyond the Bump Zoom groups are back next week. I’m really looking forward to being together again.

There is so much pressure to make every minute of a baby’s awake time “count.”

But babies don’t need a constant stream of activities or entertainment.

Sometimes just being on the floor, looking around and taking in the world is plenty.

You don’t have to fill every minute.

One of the hardest parts of the first six months is that just when something starts to feel predictable, it changes.
