MĀHŪ Somewhere in between...
// Masculine // Feminine // Hard // Soft // The Name

"Somewhere in between..." Alcain.

In the days of Hawaii's past, māhū played a very important, and valued role in society. They were caretakers, spiritual leaders, teachers of the arts, keepers of ancient tradition, oral historians and sometimes even warriors. Māhū incarnate both masculine and feminine traits that we all possess, thus allowing them to exist "in between", contributing to the balance of society, and a life of aloha (

love). The Brand

All of our products are made out of love and tell a story. Our inspiration comes from memories, and the wanting to capture and share them through our creations. Our goal is to provide quality products that ring true to the soul of māhu, by being "in between", so that everyone can enjoy what we have to offer. The Māhū

The heart and soul behind our operation is Roger J. He is a dreamer with a passion for life, a travel addict with an endless curiosity to see and learn about new places, and a māhū. He was born and raised on the Big Island Hawai'i in the town of Kona and is currently based in New York City. The idea behind this brand and it's products was born from the urge to create beautiful things, share them with the world and to celebrate the happy place in between. Because he believes that being in between is a wonderful place to be!
