Still recovering from "losing" that hour of sleep? 😴 Even if the Daylight Saving struggle is real, the longer evenings are finally here!

I’m loving this week’s Ready to Go Richmond Weekly" newsletter. It’s packed with everything you need to plan your March, including:

🍀 St. Paddy’s Weekend: From Shamrock The Block to Lucky’s Bar Crawl, the festivities are starting early.

🎨 Shopping: The Spring Craftsmen's Classics is back at the Richmond Raceway.

🦉 Nature Facts: Ever heard of the Virginia Spiderwort? (It’s not as scary as it sounds, I promise)

🍰 Sweet Treats: A shoutout to a local favorite, Fat Rabbit Bakery in Union Hill.

⚖️ Non-Profit Feature: Highlighting the vital work of the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society, Inc..

Support local and get out into the city this weekend. Check out the link below for the full list of events and a chance to win their weekly giveaway. 🎁

Well, if you're feeling a little off this week, blame Daylight Saving Time. We gained an hour of evening sunlight this past weekend, but lost an hour of sleep, and honestly that trade still feels uneven. Give it a few days. It gets better. Probably.

Our first Henrico County Government Sustainability and Resilience Advisory Committee (SRAC) meeting is TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 4th at 6pm -- and the public is invited! While I'm not sure about public participation in the meeting beyond listening/observing, at the meeting we will have an update on the County’s sustainability efforts and a discussion about the Climate Action and Adaptation Strategy. We will also elect officers (Chair & Vice Chair) at this meeting. Visit https://henrico.gov/genserv/sustainability-division/sustainability-and-resilience-advisory-committee/ for additional information, including the meeting notice. Please join us if you are able and interested in this important topic.

The Sustainability and Resilience Advisory Committee (SRAC) was established by the Henrico County Board of Supervisors on August 26, 2025. The SRAC has 10

Great advice in this brief video, professionally & personally - such as to manage one task at a time, be mindful, & do breathwork throughout the day. As a fellow Buddhist, I look forward to visiting with these folks when they pass through the area ~Feb. 5-15. In the meantime, I also wish you all a healthy, happy, & prosperous New Year.

Special thanks to Rob YB Youngblood for bringing this video to my attention (I appreciate you), & well done Walk for Peace.
