HAPPENING TOMORROW: Hear directly from candidates who want to shape St. Johns County's future.

The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce will host the first of two "Meet the Candidates" forums tomorrow at Bartram Trail High School, 5:30-7:30 p.m. This session features Board of County Commissioners candidates.

Topics will include growth management, the tax base, affordable housing, public transportation and the challenges ahead for the county.

Congratulations to Haven Hospice on their Chamber ribbon cutting celebration tonight! ✂️🎉

Haven Hospice provides Hospice Services, Palliative Care, and a robust Dementia Program for patients and families right here in our community. This new location will serve as Haven Hospice's administrative office in St. Augustine.

A few moments from the celebration really stayed with us:
🇺🇸 A Vietnam veteran in the audience was honored on the spot, and the room got a little emotional. He shared that his wife volunteers with Haven Hospice too.

🤝 The team spoke about their "No One Dies Alone" program. Volunteers sit with patients who have nobody else by their side at the end of life, so no one has to face that moment alone.

💛 Haven Hospice's Chief Medical Officer shared stories of patients with simple but meaningful goals, like reaching a granddaughter's wedding, or seeing a 99th birthday. The team works hard to help patients get there.

🛍️ Haven Hospice's Attic resale stores have been a familiar, trusted part of this community for over 12 years, quietly raising more than $2 million a year to help fund these programs.

In observance of Juneteenth, the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce offices, including our St. Augustine office and the Ponte Vedra Beach Visitor Information Center, will be closed on Friday, June 19.

Both locations will reopen and resume normal business hours on Monday, June 22. We wish everyone a meaningful Juneteenth.
