What the image doesn't show is what's underneath: the alluvial fan at the base of the Mayacamas, the way it drains, the way it makes the vines work for everything they produce. Harvest 2026 is on! Native fermentations have started nicely; the Aligoté is almost dry. As we look ahead, canopies are verdant and happy, and the crop is balanced: smallish berries and nice spacing. The table is set. We’re hoping the beautiful weather persists and ripening continues to trend early. As always it’s exciting to get into our favorite end of the season.
