Introducing: The Affair

This wine marks our inaugural co-fermentation of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. A sophisticated nod to the iconic blends of Southern France, this wine opens with an intriguing aromatic profile of dried blueberry and white pepper, layered with warm notes of vanilla and sassafras.

On the palate, an elevated viscosity leads into a core of bold tannins and a remarkably silky mid-palate. Deep flavors of muddled black cherries and cedar provide a sense of grounded luxury. This is a structured wine finishing with a refined touch of astringency that speaks to its longevity and intentional design.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year for our Summer Al Fresco Dinner. This is always such a special gathering. Watching the sunset over the vineyard while we eat amazing food and drink great wine is nothing short of incredible.

The next Dinner In is our Eat. Drink. Jingle barrel room dinner. Seats for this are very limited and sell out to our Members quickly. If you'd like to be among the first to know when seats open up, consider becoming a Member!

This summer, you can experience Brave & Maiden in a few different ways:

•Private Seated Tasting: A dedicated estate host guides your party through a curated selection from our portfolio. Allow one hour for this experience.

•Wine & Cheese Pairing: A tasting flight of our limited-production wines paired with artisanal cheeses selected to complement each pour. Allow 75 minutes for this experience.

•Private Winery Tour with Seated Tasting: A behind-the-scenes walk through our sustainably farmed vineyard and production facility, concluding with a tasting of our estate-grown wines. Allow 90 minutes for this experience.

•Bottle Service or By the Glass Reservation: Settle into our courtyard to enjoy our limited-production wines by the bottle or glass at your own pace.

•After Hours at the Estate: On select Fridays, join us after hours for live music from a local musician and estate wines by the glass or bottle.

Please join us in welcoming our new Assistant Winemaker, Patrick, to the Brave & Maiden team!

A Santa Barbara native, Patrick quickly took to the culinary arts and botany, studying both at SBCC. While cooking in fine dining restaurants, he found a passion for all forms of flavor and technique.

From chef, to mixologist, he started Farm to Bar in downtown Santa Barbara. A speakeasy-style craft cocktail program in the heart of the Farmer's Market. "I loved the way you could create sense memory from every season the SB market gave you. But I wanted to do more than just mix things; I wanted to make them."

Patrick turned to Matt Dees of Jonata and the Hilt to learn how to make wine in SB County. After 7 amazing vintages with Jonata, Patrick joined Brave & Maiden in 2026. "I'm excited to learn from Wynne and get to know this vineyard. There are a lot of passionate people here; I'm honored to be one of them."
