A look at our wonderful Katushas’ Vineyard in Lodi. Planted in 1915 the vineyard was nearly torn out in 2014 but we managed to prevent that from happening and have spent the last decade-plus nursing it back to health. Now farmed to organic standards it is non-till with integrated grazing and is one of the healthiest and best Zinfandel vineyards in the appellation. And the w**e, as Casey points out, is vibrant and delicious and not at all what people think of as typical Lodi Zin. Thanks to Erik Castro for coming out for a very early pick to capture the footage.

Great capture of our last green drop pass done yesterday before we brace for harvest to start at Evangelho in a few weeks (yes, that’s early) with viticulture Casey Barton by Erik Castro.

Beautiful footage of one of the most important and delicate parts of grape farming captured last week at Bedrock. After growing rootstock for 1-2 years we field graft a blend of varieties that is consistent with the original 1888 plantings to replenish any vine positions that have died out. This ensures that the vineyard remains economically viable and high in quality. 🎥 .castro_ narration by

A look at the jewel of the Delta, Evangelho Vineyard. This vineyard faces constant threat of development but we promised Frank Evangelho, when he sold us the vineyard that we would protect it as fiercely as he did when he was the custodian of this singular place. It makes w**es unlike anyplace in the world.
