People ask us what happens to all the aluminum cans they bring in.

We could tell you we smash every single one by hand with a giant hammer…

The real process is a little faster. The cans go through our machine, get compacted into bricks, stacked up, and sent off to be recycled.

Not quite as dramatic as the hammer, but a lot more efficient.

In and Out on the shelf in less than 90 days!

We’ll wrap up our Ravalli County 4-H & FFA posts with another great local project we were proud to support.

Modern Recycling purchased Hudson Englund’s steer at this year’s livestock sale. Supporting these kids is about more than buying an animal—it’s about recognizing the time, responsibility, and hard work they put in all year long.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to support 4-H, FFA, agriculture, and the next generation of local kids.

Another one of the great local 4-H kids we were happy to support this year! 🍀🐑

Modern Recycling purchased Reegan Schlabach’s lamb at the Ravalli County 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale. We know how much time, work, and care goes into raising these animals, and it’s pretty special to see our local kids take pride in what they’ve accomplished.

We’re proud to be able to support Reegan and the other young people who help keep 4-H, agriculture, and our rural community strong.

Modern Recycling purchased Meline Gardner-Wavrant’s lamb at this year’s 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale. These projects take months of hard work, responsibility, and dedication, and we’re proud to support the local kids who put so much into them.

Supporting 4-H means supporting the youth, agriculture, and rural communities that make the Bitterroot Valley such a great place to call home.

This year, we had the privilege of purchasing Jaxon Henry’s Steer at the Ravalli County 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale.

For us, the livestock auction is about much more than purchasing an animal—it’s about supporting the hardworking local kids who dedicate countless hours to raising, caring for, and showing their livestock. Programs like 4-H and FFA teach responsibility, work ethic, leadership, and skills that are especially important in our rural communities.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to invest in these young people and help keep these valuable programs strong for years to come.

Congratulations, Jaxon, and thank you to all of the 4-H and FFA members, families, volunteers, and organizers who make our local fair and livestock sale possible!
