Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival continues all month long, with a special performance happening in our cellar!

Sunday, June 14th @ 7:00 — The Westerlies
From Carnegie Hall to Coachella, the Grammy-nominated The Westerlies create music that is “folk-like and composerly, lovely and intellectually rigorous” (NPR Music). The ensemble has relentlessly composed, arranged, adapted, recorded, and toured over the past fifteen years, and is making their second appearance at the Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival. 

Doors open at 6:30, plenty of time to find a good seat and grab a glass (or bottle) to enjoy during the performance!

Please note: the performance will take place in our wine cellar, we encourage you to dress accordingly.

Our Single Vineyard Series is a study in Cabernet Sauvignon, crafted in the same cellar with the same philosophy, yet shaped by the singular voices of remarkable vineyards.

The 2022 vintage showcases Cabernet from three of Washington’s most remarkable sites: Champoux Vineyard, Red Willow Vineyard, and our own French Creek Estate Vineyard.

First planted in 1981, French Creek is one of Washington’s most storied vineyards and a living record of pioneering viticulture. Spread across 40 acres above the Yakima River, its south-facing slopes are planted to more than forty grape varieties in a mosaic of soil types within the Yakima Valley.

Our 2022 SVS Cabernet comes from one of the oldest blocks, the 1991 plantings. These 34 year old vines are magnificent: their trunks are trained high in the old style of viticulture. At this mature age, their yield is naturally reduced but the fruit is concentrated, vivid, and intense.

We love Cabernet from The Rocks District. 🍇 💌 🪨

Inspired by this endless love affair, we make a wine every year dedicated to showing the elegant, softer side of Cabernet that only this unique growing region can achieve.

Each vintage of Bellamy carries its own signature, but the goal remains the same: to create a savory, mineral-driven, deeply aromatic wine with remarkable texture and finesse.

This vintage is anchored by fruit from Le Mani Vineyard (formerly River Rock), complemented by in the foothills of the Walla Walla Valley. Together, these sites bring dimension and complexity to the blend while preserving the hallmark texture that makes this Rocks District Cabernet so distinctive.

The bouquet opens with blackberry, purple plum, and blueberry layered alongside violet, graphite, and the herbal character unmistakably tied to The Rocks. On the palate, the wine moves with a sleek, silky texture, balancing blue and black fruits with minerality, savory herbs, wet stone, espresso, vanilla, and to***co leaf.

Aged for 20 months in predominantly French oak, the 2023 Bellamy is already showing beautifully today, and it will continue to evolve gracefully for years to come.

Our recent release of 2023 Cabernets have this dynamic winemaking duo behind them.

At the helm of the 2023 harvest was Executive Winemaker Sally Johnson Blum, whose reputation for Cabernet Sauvignon speaks for itself.

Over the course of her career, Sally has produced several 100-point Cabernets and is recognized as a defining voice in Cabernet up and down the West Coast.

The 2023 vintage marked her first year crafting wines for The Walls, with Associate Winemaker Peter Urian stewarding the wines through élevage and bottling from the beginning of 2024 through release.

Peter delved into the world of wine at Cornell University, in the prestigious Viticulture & Enology program. His winemaking journey spans New York, California, Austria, and Washington State. In 2016, Peter began his Walla Walla wine industry career at The Walls as a Lab Tech then Assistant Winemaker an eventually rejoined our team in April 2024 as Associate Winemaker.

On the 2023 Vintage Peter shared:

“This particular vintage produced wines with great intensity and freshness. Countless hours were spent tasting every barrel in the cellar to find the perfect pieces to create these wines. After selecting the best components in the cellar, Sally and I spent days at the blending table to capture the essence of the site and soul of each bottling. Our goal was is to show the true character and personality of each wine that people have come to know and love.“

Thank you to and for shining a big light on the town so nice they named it twice: !

At The Walls Vineyards, we are all-in on Walla Walla. We love welcoming people to this little town in the west where we craft wines inspired by the people, the places, and the endlessly unique flavors that only this rough and rocky landscape can produce.
