Before anyone gets upset that jobs are taking a little longer, I want to share what today has been like.
Today has been a day. 🥵 This heat is absolutely brutal.
This morning, Jerry, one of the guys Jake works with, almost passed out from the heat. Not long after that, Emma and I had to go check on Jake because he was getting to that point too. We got some Gatorade in him, watermelon to help hydrate him, and a few chips to get some salt back in his system. I didn’t want him eating anything heavy in this kind of heat.
I know Jake is pushing himself because he’s trying to get these jobs finished so everyone can get paid, but no job is worth someone’s health or life.
Please be patient with all the people working outside right now. Whether they’re doing construction, roofing, landscaping, or any other outdoor job, this heat is no joke. We’re doing everything we can while also making sure everyone gets home safely.
Stay hydrated, take breaks, and look out for one another. ❤️☀️
