EMERGENCY CLOSURE: Eastbound Lane Closure on I-70 at MM 191.8 near Warrenton

The right lane of eastbound I-70 is scheduled to close during the evening hours on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the West Warrenton Boulevard interchange (mile marker 191.8) in Warren County, due to a pavement failure. The continuous closure will be located between the West Warrenton Blvd. interchange off and on-ramps. Repairs are anticipated to be completed and reopen to traffic by 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Delays on I-70 are expected during this temporary closures. To alleviate congestion, motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

For updates please refer to the Traveler Information Map. Please remember to obey all work zone signs and personnel. All work zones and traffic impacts are online at www.modot.org/northeast.

🚧 EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚧

The right lane of eastbound I-70 is scheduled to close at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the West Warrenton Boulevard interchange (mile marker 191.8) in Warren County, due to a pavement failure. Warrenton Firefighters reminds everyone to take a little extra time and stay alert:
🚌 Watch for school buses and obey their warning lights and stop arms.
🚸 Be alert for children at bus stops and crosswalks.
🐢 Slow down in school zones and residential areas.

A few seconds of patience behind a school bus could help save a life.
