Shedding the Light on Global Rights Why Transparence?

Even with all the available information and organizations involved with the collection and distribution of intellectual property rights remuneration, there is more confusion, doubt and neglect of royalties than ever before. When music is streamed, played on the radio, or otherwise publicly performed, there are royalties to be collected. However, creators in the music industry such as songwriters,

producers and musicians have little to no information about how their royalty payments are calculated, and are not provided access to valuable comprehensive data about how and where people are listening to their music. To collect an artist’s performance royalties from around the world, that artist would need to go beyond their Performing Rights Organization or collection society. It's time to showcase another great young jazz artist! Join us March 12th for the Young Musicians VIRTUAL Showcase featuring the Wesley Bozman Trio. Hosted by LAJS Boardmember Shari Hoffman, the trio will feature Wesley on piano, Alex Welch on bass and George Paddack on drums.

Wesley has been arranging and composing since the age of fourteen and appreciates the opportunities for self-expression and creation inherent in music. Wesley is a jazz piano performance major at the University of Southern California where he studies with Professor Josh Nelson. He was awarded the Emerging Artist Grant from the Jexa Awards, and was given a grant to perform his original compositions.
