INDUSTRIAL DESIGN IS EVOLVING.
Projects like ESR Westlink Lot 4 for Capital Group are leading that evolution.
Today the team at PACE ARCHITECTS had the opportunity to walk through this outstanding facility and see firsthand how industrial architecture is no longer just about warehouses and storage — it’s about creating integrated environments that combine functionality, efficiency, sustainability, and human experience.
Developed by ESR Australia within the rapidly growing Westlink Industry Park precinct in Western Sydney, the facility delivers:
▪ 18,295m² high-performance warehouse
▪ Capacity for 16,000+ pallet spaces
▪ 2,500m² bulk freight block stack area
▪ 2,400m² premium office accommodation
▪ Gymnasium, training rooms & collaborative workplace spaces
▪ EV charging infrastructure vehicles
PACE ARCHITECTS was engaged by Prime Constructions to assist in the construction delivery phase, while also delivering the interior fitout design and workplace environments for Capital Group.
What makes this project truly stand apart is the balance between industrial performance and workplace experience.
The interiors were carefully designed to soften the scale and rawness of the industrial environment through the integration of warm timber finishes, refined materiality, natural light, textured surfaces, and soft flowing curtains — creating an atmosphere that feels welcoming, sophisticated, calm, and highly human-centric.
This is where industrial architecture is heading.
At PACE ARCHITECTS, we believe the future of industrial design is not just measured in pallet numbers and logistics efficiencies — it’s measured in the quality of the environments we create for the people who occupy them every day.
Projects like this demonstrate our team’s ability to merge large-scale industrial functionality with premium architectural thinking, workplace strategy, sustainability, and strong interior design outcomes.
A huge congratulations to ESR Australia, Prime Constructions, Capital Group, and all consultants and contractors involved in bringing this project to life.
