The PACE team visited HALE Capital’s Punchbowl development as it approaches completion with Vaughan Constructions. Approximately 37,000 sqm across two levels and up to 12 tenancies—our fourth HALE multi-level project as Lead Consultant during construction.

FROM FEASIBILITY TO BUILT FORM

Over the past several months, PACE ARCHITECTS has been working closely with our client to subdivide their existing site, improve its development yield and create a new architectural identity for their business through a purpose-designed new facility.

The process began with understanding the land, the operational requirements and the future vision for the business. Through feasibility planning and careful site analysis, our team explored how the subdivision and development strategy could unlock greater value and deliver a more efficient, commercially responsive outcome.

From there, our architectural and interior design teams developed a cohesive design language for the new building. A contemporary, neutral palette creates a strong corporate presence while responding respectfully to the site’s lush landscape setting. The company’s signature red is used strategically to strengthen brand recognition without overwhelming the architecture.

That same design thinking continues internally, creating a calm, professional environment with a coordinated palette for finishes, furniture, signage and feature elements.

This project demonstrates the breadth of experience PACE brings to industrial development. From initial feasibility, master planning, site subdivision and yield optimisation through to architectural design, interior packages, detailed documentation and construction delivery, we understand how every decision contributes to the commercial performance and final built outcome.

Another look at this outstanding project and a great example of what can be achieved when strong teams come together.

Working alongside Hale Capital and Vaughan Constructions, PACEARCHITECTS is proud to have helped deliver another landmark multi-level industrial development from vision through to built form.

A huge congratulations to our PACE team, who led the architectural delivery throughout construction and worked closely with the wider project team to achieve a fantastic result.

There’s also a great story behind this one. Our involvement with the site started long before construction, with PACE Director Patrick Pace identifying its development potential early and helping connect the people and opportunity that ultimately set the project in motion.

From recognising an opportunity to seeing the finished building standing today - that’s a journey we’re incredibly proud to have been part of.

Located in Sydney’s Central West, Evolve delivers approximately 49,625sqm of premium industrial space across up to 10 flexible tenancies.

Tenancy sizes range from approximately 3,100sqm through to 24,850sqm in a single line, allowing the development to accommodate a diverse range of industrial and logistics users.

PACEARCHITECTS = G I G A N T I C !

A milestone project for PACEARCHITECTS.

It has been an incredible journey for the PACEARCHITECTS team to see BlueScope Steel’s $115M Metal Coating Line #7 at Erskine Park reach Practical Completion.

Our involvement began at the early planning stages, working alongside the wider project team to develop the architectural response and progress this highly complex industrial facility through the State Significant Development Application (SSDA) process.

Following approval, PACE continued through the Design & Construct and construction documentation phases, helping translate an exceptionally technical manufacturing brief into a coordinated, buildable facility.

This was industrial architecture on a very different scale.

The project incorporates multiple highly specialised construction zones, major process infrastructure, structures reaching approximately 38 metres in height, deep concrete cellars, specialist fire and services requirements, and an extension to the administration facilities — all integrated around the operational requirements of a major Australian manufacturer.

Projects like MCL7 demonstrate where PACE’s 25+ years of industrial experience really comes into its own. It is not simply about designing a building. It is about understanding process, structure, services, approvals, construction methodology and programme and bringing those elements together into an architectural solution that can actually be delivered.

Most importantly, projects of this complexity are never achieved by one organisation alone. They require experienced professionals, strong communication and genuine collaboration across the client, contractor, consultants, authorities, suppliers and countless individuals involved along the way.

A significant investment in Australian manufacturing, an outstanding collective achievement, and truly a milestone project for PACEARCHITECTS.

Our Hale Capital multi-level industrial developments at Camellia and Punchbowl are approaching their final stages — delivered ahead of programme and on budget.
Another highlight was returning to the completed BlueScope Steel MCL7 Paint Line facility at Erskine Park, now fully operational.
PACE has been involved throughout the journey — from design and approvals through documentation, coordination, construction and completed built form.

A new financial year... a fresh opportunity to build something extraordinary.

Last week we had our monthly “PACE ON FIRE” BBQ lunch - reclaiming the streets of Crows Nest. July has been all about reconnecting, celebrating our team and continuing to help our clients turn great ideas into successful projects.

One of the highlights this month has been welcoming Will back into the office for a few weeks. While Will normally works remotely from Japan, it’s been fantastic having him in Sydney, collaborating with the team, sharing ideas and enjoying a few laughs around the office.

We also celebrated Kelly’s birthday, and naturally, no PACE celebration is complete without a delicious pavlova! 🎂

As the weather cools down, we’re turning up the heat at PACE Architects.

Another month, another PACE ON FIRE BBQ—celebrating our people, our wins, and the momentum we’re building together.

This month we celebrated Rebecca’s birthday, wished Luke a well-earned holiday, and welcomed Jane and Joseph to the PACE team.

While the market continues to challenge many businesses, our mindset remains the same: When others slow down, we keep improving.
