INDUSTRIAL DESIGN IS EVOLVING.

Projects like ESR Westlink Lot 4 for Capital Group are leading that evolution.

Today the team at PACE ARCHITECTS had the opportunity to walk through this outstanding facility and see firsthand how industrial architecture is no longer just about warehouses and storage — it’s about creating integrated environments that combine functionality, efficiency, sustainability, and human experience.

Developed by ESR Australia within the rapidly growing Westlink Industry Park precinct in Western Sydney, the facility delivers:

▪ 18,295m² high-performance warehouse
▪ Capacity for 16,000+ pallet spaces
▪ 2,500m² bulk freight block stack area
▪ 2,400m² premium office accommodation
▪ Gymnasium, training rooms & collaborative workplace spaces
▪ EV charging infrastructure vehicles

PACE ARCHITECTS was engaged by Prime Constructions to assist in the construction delivery phase, while also delivering the interior fitout design and workplace environments for Capital Group.

What makes this project truly stand apart is the balance between industrial performance and workplace experience.

The interiors were carefully designed to soften the scale and rawness of the industrial environment through the integration of warm timber finishes, refined materiality, natural light, textured surfaces, and soft flowing curtains — creating an atmosphere that feels welcoming, sophisticated, calm, and highly human-centric.

This is where industrial architecture is heading.

At PACE ARCHITECTS, we believe the future of industrial design is not just measured in pallet numbers and logistics efficiencies — it’s measured in the quality of the environments we create for the people who occupy them every day.

Projects like this demonstrate our team’s ability to merge large-scale industrial functionality with premium architectural thinking, workplace strategy, sustainability, and strong interior design outcomes.

A huge congratulations to ESR Australia, Prime Constructions, Capital Group, and all consultants and contractors involved in bringing this project to life.

🔥 MAY. FIRE UP THE BBQ. FIRE UP PERFORMANCE. 🔥

Momentum is building at PACEARCHITECTS.
This month has been focused on leadership, stronger partnerships, team culture, and driving projects forward across NSW.

💪 Team workshops completed
💪 Entire team starting at new gym next door keeping the team sharp
💪 New project commencement in Heatherbrae NSW
💪 SSDA Approval achieved for a new Multi-Level Warehouse
💪 Another multi-level industrial development underway

At PACE, we believe strong culture creates strong performance and the biggest opportunities are created early through the right partnerships, strategy, and momentum.

We also farewelled Dante after almost 3 years with the team and welcomed Kimya back to the office.

The market is shifting — and opportunity favours those ready to move.

You bring the project.
We’ll bring the fire. 🔥

PACEARCHITECTS = EMOTION + INNOVATION + STORYTELLING.

At PACEARCHITECTS, we’re not just using AI to create the future - we’re using it to reconnect with the soul of architecture.

In an industry obsessed with hyper-realistic renders and perfection, we’re deliberately reversing the process.

We’re leveraging the power of AI to reimagine past projects through the lens of the iconic 1990s architectural watercolour render style - bringing back the emotion, warmth, atmosphere, and human intent that once defined architectural storytelling.

These weren’t just images.
They were visions.
They carried feeling, mood, imagination, and aspiration.

There was something powerful about the loose brush strokes, softened edges, layered textures, and imperfect beauty of the hand-crafted watercolour sketch. It allowed people to emotionally connect with architecture before it was built.

Now, through AI, we’re reviving that lost art form.

Not as nostalgia for the past - but as a reminder that great architecture is about more than photorealism.

It’s about emotion.
It’s about identity.
It’s about storytelling.

AI is giving us the ability to merge old-world architectural artistry with new-world technology - creating imagery that feels alive again.

Because architecture should never feel cold.
It should inspire people. Move people.
And leave a lasting impression long before construction begins.

🔥 APRIL. Fire up the BBQ. Fire up Performance! 🔥

April has been a month of reset, refocus, and building momentum at PACEARCHITECTS.

With the Easter break giving everyone a moment to pause, we’ve taken the opportunity to go deeper - not just into our projects, but into how we operate as a team.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been running internal workshops focused on:

·  Team building
·  Delivering a higher level of customer service
·  Reassessing our Values, Time management and efficiency
·  Strengthening leadership across the business

Because here’s the reality - the market may be slowing with all the global chaos, but that’s not a signal to sit back.

👉 It’s a signal to level up.

While others wait, we’re working in the background to sharpen our systems, strengthen our people, and elevate our service offering - so when the market moves, we’re already ahead.

We also took time out to wish Nicole our Project Leader a Happy Birthday!

🚧 PROJECT MOMENTUM BUILDING

We’re excited to see our multi-level development in Granville restarting, bringing energy back into the pipeline.

Forecasting - May is shaping up strong:

· Discussions underway for new projects
· Exploring regional areas with new clients
· Commencement of another multi-level industrial development

This marks our 6th multi-level warehouse in NSW and more importantly - designed by PACEARCHITECTS 👉 This means greater efficiency, smarter layouts, and real cost savings for our clients - not just design for design’s sake.

We don’t wait for opportunities.
We build capability so we’re ready when they come.
Stronger team. Sharper thinking. Better outcomes.

If you’re reviewing sites, testing feasibility, or preparing for delivery - let’s talk early - or better still, join us at our next BBQ. In our experience, the real value uplift happens before a DA - not after.

You bring the project.
We’ll bring the fire. 🔥

PACEARCHITECTS = CULTURAL

The future of interiors isn’t just visual - it’s cultural.

At PACEARCHITECTS, we don’t just design spaces - we challenge them.

Our interiors team is constantly exploring fitout layouts, pushing and testing ideas through AI - because great design isn’t accidental, it’s built through momentum and intent.
While the industry often lets “Connecting with Country” fade into the background BUT we’re bringing it forward.

We see a real opportunity to collaborate with local Indigenous artists, integrating artwork, textures, and fabrics that tell a story - not just fill a space.

This is where architecture meets culture.
This is where ideas become identity.
This is where Australian architecture can truly differentiate.

PACEARCHITECTS = Built for performance. Built for the future.

AMAZON BWU6 Facility HORSLEY PARK NSW – THROWBACK 🔥

This is what scale looks like.

Over 30,000sqm of high-performance logistics space — built to move fast, think smart, and deliver at volume.

That’s 600,000+ items moving through a facility designed for speed, precision, and consistency.

At PACE, this wasn’t just a fitout - it was about creating a machine that performs.

Aligning design, technology, and operations to support Amazon’s relentless drive for efficiency.

Advanced systems.
Seamless workflows.
Real outcomes.

And it doesn’t stop there — sustainability embedded into the DNA:

⚡ 200kW solar array
⚡ Lithium-powered operations
⚡ Smart energy systems throughout

This is what happens when design meets delivery at scale.

PACEARCHITECTS = Design × Delivery × Performance

PACE Architects working closely with our client and builder through ECI to develop the front-of-house office design for the $300M Farm Frites processing facility in Dooen, Victoria.

This project is a great example of what true collaboration can achieve — aligning design, operations, and construction early to deliver efficient, buildable outcomes.

From concept through to ongoing design development, our focus has been on creating functional, high-performing spaces that support a world-class 24/7 food production facility.

A major milestone project set to deliver 250+ jobs and strengthen Australia’s food production capability.

PACEARCHITECTS = EFFICIENT IMPACT. 🔥

We’ve been working closely with LOGISPACE to unlock the full potential of their Chester Hill site — and the result is something truly powerful.

This isn’t just another industrial estate.

This is precision-led design meeting commercial intelligence.

Set within one of Sydney’s most tightly held industrial precincts, our brief was clear:
maximise yield, elevate flexibility, and deliver a scheme that works harder.

And that’s exactly what we’ve delivered.

✔️ Unit sizes ranging from 4,273sqm to 17,860sqm
✔️ Flexible configurations tailored to real operational needs
✔️ Potential for container-rated hardstand solutions
✔️ Seamless integration with branding and developer vision

The outcome?

A high-performance industrial asset that not only functions at the highest level—but presents as a true landmark for LOGISPACE’s first development.

Strategically positioned in Sydney’s Central Western corridor, this site connects directly to major transport routes, key logistics hubs, and surrounding residential catchments—while being moments from Chester Hill Station.

This is what happens when design is driven by outcome, not just form.
PACEARCHITECTS — We don’t just design buildings. We unlock value.
