✨Celebrating women working in Antarctic operations and industries✨

On Saturday 24 August, as part of the Australian Antarctic Festival, members of the public had the exciting opportunity to listen to Frederique Olivier, Lisa Wilkinson, and Sara Pearce as they shared their unique experiences working across various roles in Antarctic operations. We were very fortunate to have Sara join us online all the way from Davis Station! Thank you to our captivating guest speakers and the enthusiastic audience at IMAS Salamanca.

Following on from the panel talk, Sylvia Elphinstone hosted a special function for the network at the Story Bar to celebrate the ongoing contributions of women to Antarctic industries. Thank you to our supporters Sylvia, Elphinstone Engineering, and William Adams Cat for a fantastic celebration!

It's also the Family day at Mawson's Huts museum (meet a sled dog team and all sorts of other family fun), and there's a series of talks on at the newly re-opened Islands to Ice exhibition at Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.
