BleepingComputer reports a critical cPanel flaw is being actively exploited in “Sorry” ransomware attacks, with at least 44,000 IPs reportedly compromised. Once attackers gain trusted access, the issue can move well beyond patching and into containment, visibility, recovery, and business disruption.

A leaked password can be reset. A leaked voice creates a very different problem.

The ORAVYS article states the Mercor breach exposed roughly 4TB of data tied to more than 40,000 contractors, including clean voice samples paired with government-issued identity documents. Their point is not just that data was taken. It is that voice plus verified identity creates a much more dangerous impersonation risk than a standard file leak.

That changes the security conversation quickly. Voice data tied to verified ID can be used to support fraud, social engineering, and trust-based attacks in ways that are much harder to unwind after the fact. The risk is no longer just about exposure. It is about what that exposure can now enable.

Reuters reports a U.S. judge ordered chatbot-generated documents to be turned over, and lawyers are now warning clients not to treat public AI tools like trusted confidants. Some law firms are already pointing clients toward private corporate AI systems instead.

The Dutch government has launched a self-hosted open-source code platform built to support digital sovereignty.
