π¨ Important Update β CSIT Increase from 1 July (Minimum Sponsor Salary)
From 1 July, the Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT) will increase.
π° New threshold: $79,499 + superannuation
π° Current threshold: $76,515 + superannuation
The CSIT is the minimum annual salary that an employer must offer to sponsor a worker under the following visa subclasses:
β’ Subclass 482 (Skills in Demand)
β’ Subclass 494
β’ Subclass 186
π What does this mean in practice?
β’ Nominations lodged before 1 July will remain subject to the current threshold of $76,515.
β’ Nominations lodged on or after 1 July must meet the new threshold of $79,499.
