On 29th July, founding member of Black Sabbath, Tony Iommi announced his brand-new studio album, From The Dark and premiered the first single from it, ‘World Alone’ to critical and fan acclaim. Racking up 2.5 million streams and heavy global radio playlisting since its release, ‘World Alone’ is a thunderous rock song that speeds along on a barrage of flying guitar riffs and solos, backed by a driving rhythm section and topped off with the powerful rock operatics of acclaimed Norwegian vocalist JORN Lande.

The video for ‘World Alone’ is based around a retrofuture, dystopian universe where the lead protagonist, The Believer, is pitched into a twisted video game to save his life and ultimately find salvation. Den københavnske indie-sanger/sangskriver NEEL udsender i dag sin debutsingle ‘Kommer fra nogen’, som er første udspil fra hendes kommende EP ‘Barndom’. NEEL indspillede EP’en i 2024 og har siden da spillet en håndfuld koncerter og skrevet nyt materiale, men nu udsender hun sine første indspillede sange.

Lyrisk reflekterer NEEL over barndommen, ensomheden og relationer. På ‘Kommer for nogen’ fylder modsætningen mellem det at give alt af sig selv, men samtidig ikke vide, hvem der ville være der, når isolationen indtræffer. Alle vil være noget for nogen, men hvad sker der for selvopfattelsen, når tvivlen kommer op til overfladen?

NEEL følger i fodsporene på den stolte dansksprogede singer-songwriter tradition med træk fra den alternative indie rock, mens hun stadig formår at holde sig indenfor den klassiske pop-form. Musikkens guitar-drevne lyd er skabt ud fra en intuitiv tilgang, hvor musikken rumsterer levende og uperfekt i øvelokalet, og hvor ideerne bliver skabt i momentet.

Umeå, Sweden based four-piece Moloken will release their self-titled fifth album on September 25th 2026 via Discouraged Records. After sharing the two album tracks ‘A Night Vision Revealed (Asterion Pt. I)’, and then ‘Fault Line’, the band releases the album’s third and final single 'Eternal Sleep’ today.

The song ventures into the darkest and most inevitable territory of them all: death and eternity. It explores the frightening mystery of what awaits us beyond life, and asks a question we may spend our entire existence trying to answer: How do we face death consciously? Can we ever make peace with it — perhaps even become friends with death?

The song is dedicated to Kristoffer and Nicklas’ grandfather, and to Patrik’s mother, who both passed away. Their presence may be gone, but their spirits will always remain with us.

The album title 'SQUEEZE' comes from the band’s internal expression “Squeezing the bottle”: the last drops that especially thirsty souls try to squeeze out of the bottle. It serves as a metaphor for the pressure you can be subjected to as an artist – and, not least, the pressure you put on yourself and on each other - a main theme on the record. In love, you sometimes push both yourself and your partner to the very edge, but love can also become the force that holds everything together and ultimately sets the individual free.

“It is the classic story of how falling in love completely takes over your brain and body. You're stumbling into awkward situations, acting clumsy, forgetting how to finish a sentence, and looking nowhere near as cool as you want to. Copenhagen darkwave artist St. Digue recently announced his third album 'Secret Language' for an October 16th release. On the new album, he realizes his artistic ambition across nine immersive and maximalist productions that embrace equal parts darkwave and industrial rock, while exploring a recurring theme of love through dynamics, emotions, sensuality, and self-examination, viewed from a neurodivergent and deeply personal perspective.

Today, St. Digue shares the album’s first single and video 'Relapse', on which "examines how toxic patterns repeatedly destroy relationships."

Today, Turkish-Danish vocalist, songwriter and composer Hilal Kaya releases her new single ‘Sümbül’’, the title song on her debut album, set for a release on August 28, 2026 via CPL-Music / Nordic Notes. Rooted in Turkish folk music, the album blends elements of rock, jazz and psychedelia while reimagining traditional Anatolian sounds through a modern and free-spirited musical approach.

The album’s final single and title track ‘Sümbül’ is one of Kaya’s most personal songs to date - she elaborates:
“My mother has always called me ´Sümbülüm´(my hyacinth), while my siblings were given different flower names. She is a very strong woman and I have always needed her support throughout my musical journey. Even today, she is the first person I speak to about all my problems. That’s why I wrote this song by looking at myself through her eyes.”

Blending the spirit of Turkish folk music with Scandinavian influences, “Sümbül” features Orhan Özgür Turan (bağlama), Søren Bigum (guitar), Henrik Poulsen (bass) and Søren Poulsen (drums). The track was mixed by the band’s guitarist Søren Bigum and mastered by Björn Engelmann.

Hilal Kaya first gained attention with her previous singles “Perişan”, “Sultan” and “Harabe”. Her song “Sultan” was nominated in the Roots category at the Danish Music Awards.
