Great news for rural micro and small businesses across Cumbria — capital grants of £1,000 to £49,999 are now available, with an average award of around £15,000.

These grants can cover up to 80% of eligible project costs and are designed to help businesses invest in equipment, technology, and small-scale capital improvements to support growth, innovation, diversification and productivity.

This scheme is designed to strengthen rural enterprise by supporting projects that:

✅ Enable business growth and expansion
✅ Create new jobs and apprenticeship opportunities
