It's World Franchise Day (and I am there at the very back - think there is a bit of forehead somewhere near the middle😁)

There are lots of benefits of being a franchisee for me - working closely with other franchisees and our super support team, sharing ideas, experiences and support, so if something new comes up for me I can ask the group and someone has always seen it before.

So it also indirectly helps my clients too, they have my support but also the wider team to back me up - whether it is being that to help if I am on holiday or using the 'hive mind' for queries and best practice. đŸ€©

There’s a difference between being busy
 and actually moving your business forward.

A lot of the time, it’s the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep you stuck in the same place. Necessary, yes. But not the things that drive growth.

When you free yourself from some of that, you start to get your time, energy and focus back. And that’s when things really start to shift.

If you’ve been feeling like you’re constantly “on” but not getting ahead, you’re definitely not alone.

It’s funny how quickly the “little jobs” add up in a business.

One minute it’s a couple of emails, a bit of admin, something to organise
 and before you know it, half your day has gone and you’ve not touched the work you actually want to be doing.

That’s usually the point where people start to feel stuck. A bit of support doesn’t just save time, it gives you your focus back. And that’s where the real difference happens.

Today is the start of Volunteers' week. If you like some good stats, here are some heart warming ones from the volunteers' week website - 25 million people in the UK volunteered informally at least once in the last year and 14.2 million people in the UK have volunteered formally at least once a month.

I volunteer at my local library for their digital drop in sessions and as I have definitely said before I love it.

It helps my local community but I get so much from it too, working remotely I get away from my desk and meet people in real life and not just online, some people are regulars and others pop in occasionally and I feel part of the library team.

It is a great way to learn new skills and gain confidence too, volunteering in a British Heart Foundation shop helped my son get his first Saturday job. So everyone's a winner. If you can spare some time, I’d totally recommend it. 😍
