Sick of posting that one lacklustre selfie that you took in your car last month? Or still relying on that headshot from 5 years ago when your hair was blonde?

I can help you with this!

Come along to my group branding sessions on 23rd or 24th September at Hertford Studios and I can sort you a gallery of professional images, to your specifications to revamp your site and make socials a breeze.

Best bit? You'll be in a group setting so can use other attendees as your 'clients', enjoy some giggles and some built in networking to boot.

Don't take my word for it, listen to Ann here:

"I knew it would be good, but the experience was better than I expected. The energy from everyone there was brilliant, and it meant that I felt more at ease and comfortable. The time flew as I was enjoying it. When I wasn’t ‘posing’ I was chatting and networking with some fabulous ladies.
Tori directed us all so that we had group and individual photos, and I’ve got some photos where I’m ‘with a client’. Totally recommend this, and I’m looking forward to the next one.
I’m so pleased with my photos!"

Let's talk Breakfast...

Do you:

- Prioritise breakfast?
- Eat it on the go?
- Skip it altogether?

And how is that working for you?

Some people swear by fasting until lunchtime, some people wake up ravenous and eat almost immediately, some people can take it or leave it.

But if you are forgetful, have a 3pm energy crash, are not sleeping well or have sugar cravings after dinner, you should reconsider your morning meal.

It is important to really think about your breakfast - what, how and when you eat your first meal of the day will determine how your entire day unfolds.

For my 20 page recipe book dedicated to breakfast, comment BREAKFAST and I'll send your copy right over to you.

Over the years, I've heard some common themes from people approaching or entering retirement.

"I wish I'd started planning sooner."

"I wish I'd understood how my pensions worked."

"I wish we'd talked about what retirement would actually look like."

"I wish I'd updated my beneficiaries."

Most people don't regret planning too early.

Many regret leaving it too late.

If retirement is on your horizon, now is the perfect time to start asking the right questions.

Join me on my FREE webinar:

I asked ChatGPT to write my marketing strategy - it gave me a lovely list of hashtags and the confidence of someone who has never once had to close a client.

AI is genuinely brilliant at some things. It'll write you 50 LinkedIn posts before you've finished your coffee, or rewrite your bio in the "tone of a confident industry leader" without a single flicker of imposter syndrome.

It's Impressive, even a bit annoying, if I'm being truthful.

However, it won't know that your best client came from a throwaway comment at a conference two years ago. It won't notice that your competitor just quietly repositioned and you need to react. It won't sit in a room with you, read what you're not saying, and go "right, that's actually the problem."

That's a strategy issue and strategy has never once been solved by asking something to "make it punchier."

I keep seeing brilliant businesses - proper ones, £500k+, doing genuinely good work - either running marketing entirely off the back of the founder's evenings, or with someone junior posting away with no one steering the ship. AI's made that busier looking, not better. They have more content, but the same plateau.

Over the last 32 years I've been in marketing, I've seen the tools change constantly, but judgment doesn't. Neither does knowing your market, your positioning, and what your clients actually need to hear to say yes.

So a genuine question, a trick one. If AI vanished tomorrow, would your marketing still have a plan? Or just a very confident content calendar with nowhere to go?

Would you like to cut back on your caffeine intake? Here's a useful strategy that works whether you are using instant coffee or real coffee (ground or beans).

On the first day, use slightly less of full-leaded coffee, and a smidgeon of decaf coffee to make up the full amount. You won’t taste the difference, honest!

And each day gradually shift the balance of the two – after a week or two you reach half and half, a 1:1 ratio, and it tastes fine. Keep going, until it’s virtually all decaff with a soupcon of full leaded coffee.

And then it’s easy to go the whole way of decaffeinated.

The most robust decaff (real) coffees I have found are from Lidl, Morrisons, or Taylors of Harrogate.

Instant – try Clipper, Machu Picchu or Azeera.

Doing it slowly, you don’t get the crash and burn of withdrawal symptoms.

This worked well for me - hopefully it will for you too. Let me know how you get on!
