To be fair I can’t imagine why any lorry driver would want to turn into Newmarket from there. It’s right next to a dual carriageway and central Newmarket is a traffic nightmare anyway.

Another good day for our clients at York’s prestigious meeting today. Juddmonte and Andrew Balding teamed up to win the Yorkshire Oaks with Kalpana. George Boughey won one of my favourite races, the Lowther, with Libertango. Well done everyone, good job!

It was a double wammy for our clients today with Juddmonte both the sponsors and winning owners of the Group 1 International at York today. Plus another client, Andrew Balding, trained it so congratulations to all connections.

We were treated to another epic renewal of the Juddmonte International on Wednesday but it was far from the match-race that it was built up to be, with Item delivered late to deny Almaqam in a thrilling finish to the York feature.

Congratulations to two of our clients, Juddmonte and Andrew Balding. Their Kalpana won the Group 1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth II stakes at Ascot. She’s some tough mare.

Last year’s one-two dominate again but swap positions.
