I have learnt so much over these last two years.

Managing expectations is a big one. A lot of thought, consideration time and energy goes into ensuring I deliver the very best service each and every time someone invites me into their home.

It is such a privilege to be able to support people in this way. Each client is different in their own way but all have the same thread of overwhelm woven into them.

Unpicking this, supporting and managing expectation is all part of this service and one of the greatest but most rewarding parts of the challenge I live for!

Charity shops are often given generous donations, except a lot of these things cost them money to dispose of as items are either,

👉 Not fit for purpose

👉 Soiled and need washing or mending

👉 Broken bits or missing parts to toys

👉 People donate their own rubbish (not a joke)

I often speak with charity shops who have shown me evidence of these kinds of donations occurring.

Checking these things before donating doesn't take long. Being mindful and stopping to think before just putting into black sacks is all part of the process.

Creating balance amongst the pockets of chaos is what clients are wanting. They are often chasing this stability of home life with kids but also space and order to their own lives once the children are tucked up and a tranquil space is sought after.
