2am, Toniebox on, third Peppa story and somehow they’re more awake than you are 🫠

Stories are brilliant at bedtime, but a story is something to listen to.

Their brain follows every word, waits for what happens next, and the moment it stops they’re calling for it back on. Before long the Toniebox becomes the thing they need to fall back to sleep, every single time.

Try a swap tonight, once the bedtime story is done, switch to white noise.

The same steady sound all night, nothing to follow and nothing that ends. It tells their brain it’s sleep time, not story time.

DM SLEEP if night wakings are running your house.

5pm your toddler is rubbing their eyes. By 7pm they are bouncing off the sofa like it’s a Saturday morning 🙃

If that switch is on repeat in your house, you’re not imagining it. That’s usually an overtired toddler, not an undertired one. Once they’ve been awake longer than they can comfortably manage, the second wind kicks in and bedtime turns into one more story, one more wee, the OTHER cup.

And while all of that is going on, your evening disappears. Cold dinner. No time with your partner. Those 10 minutes you were saving for yourself, gone.

Another sticker chart won’t fix it. You’ve already got a bedtime and a routine, and you’re working hard to stay consistent.

What’s missing is knowing what YOUR toddler actually needs, what’s getting in the way, and how to respond when the boundaries get tested.

That’s exactly what my 1:1 Toddler Sleep Support gives you. A personalised plan built around your child, plus WhatsApp support from me while you put it into practice.

Clocks going back this weekend and bedtime suddenly feels like a moving target? ⏰

You Google it, find three different methods, five different timings, and end up more confused than when you started.

Your toddler isn’t watching the clock. They’re going by how they feel. So if naps are off or bedtime’s already a battle, the clock change will show it.

If sleep is solid, their body catches up in a few days.

Option 1: Do nothing ⏰
Go with it and switch to the new time on Sunday. Best for older or laid-back children.

Option 2: Split the difference 🌙
For a 7am–7pm routine, put them to bed at 7.30pm on Saturday and wake them at 6.30am on Sunday (new time). Bedtime is back to 7pm on Sunday night.

Option 3: Gradual shift 🐢
Best for babies and sensitive children. For a 7am–7pm routine:
Thursday: bed 7.15pm, wake 7.15am
Friday: bed 7.30pm, wake 7.30am
Saturday: bed 7.45pm, wake 6.45am Sunday (new time)
Sunday: back to a 7pm bedtime

Save this post for Saturday night 💤

From yawning at 5pm to bouncing off the sofa at 7pm,

If bedtime in your house can flip from fine to absolute chaos in seconds, your toddler might not be “not tired.” They might be overtired.

When toddlers stay awake longer than they can comfortably manage, they get a second wind that makes bedtime longer, wake ups earlier and your evenings disappear.

My 1:1 Toddler Sleep Support gives you a personalised plan for YOUR child, plus three weeks of WhatsApp support while you put it into practice.

Clear boundaries, a routine that actually fits, and someone in your corner when bedtime gets tested.

The clocks go back on Sunday 25th October, and every year parents panic about sleep. ⏰

Good news is your toddler can’t read a clock.

Their bodies runs on light, food and how tired they are, so an hour’s shift usually settles within a few days.

Pick whichever of these suits you:
💫 Option 1: Do nothing. Switch to the new time on Sunday morning and go with it.
💫 Option 2: Split the difference. Bedtime 30 minutes later on Saturday night.
💫 Option 3: Go slowly. From 4 days before, bedtime 15 minutes later each night, moving meals and naps too.

None of them is the “right” one. If sleep is going well, all three work.

Where it gets harder is if they are already up at 5.10am or bedtime is already taking two hours.

The clock change didn’t cause that, it just makes 5.10am look like 4.10am four for a few days.

If that’s your house, that’s the bit I help with.

3 weeks of 1:1 toddler sleep support, so goodnight at 7pm means goodnight and your morning starts with at 6am.

DM me TODDLER and tell me what bedtime looks like at yours.

5 things I DON’T do as your sleep consultant 👇🏼

1️⃣ I don’t obsess over wake windows.

They’re useful information, not a rulebook. Your baby isn’t a clock, and sometimes the nap just… doesn’t go to plan. 😂

2️⃣ I don’t tell you to throw the bedtime routine out the window.

A predictable, familiar routine can make such a difference, especially when your little one knows exactly what’s coming next.

3️⃣ I don’t expect you to spend your entire day walking, driving or pushing a pram for naps.

Motion naps can absolutely have their place. But if you’re doing laps of the kitchen every day just to get a nap, let’s look at WHY.

4️⃣ I don’t expect every baby to sleep through the night before they’re developmentally ready.

There’s no magic age where suddenly every baby should be sleeping 12 hours. We look at the whole picture, age, development, sleep needs and what’s actually happening at home.

5️⃣ And I definitely don’t leave you guessing.

You get a clear, step-by-step plan that’s tailored to YOUR baby and YOUR family.

Because you don’t need another generic sleep schedule saved to your phone.

You need to know:
✨ what to do
✨ when to do it
✨ what to do when it doesn’t go perfectly
✨ and what to change when things shift

Sleep support should make you feel more confident, not more confused.

That’s what I’m here for. 🤍

Let’s get those nights back.

Your baby isn’t waking because you stopped. They’re waking because they noticed.

Babies sleep in short cycles, often around 30–45 minutes.

At the end of each one they come up into a lighter sleep and check that everything is how it was when they drifted off.

If they fell asleep moving, the stillness feels like something’s changed.

So they wake fully and need the motion back to go off again.

Motion isn’t wrong, and it’s got you through plenty of days.

But if every nap means pram laps or a drive round the block, your baby just hasn’t been shown another way into sleep yet.

DM NAP ROUTINE and I’ll send you my FREE Nap Routine Guide.

Disturbed nights after a nursery day? It's not random.

Short or missed naps at nursery don't just disappear, they turn up later as a harder, more disturbed night.

One of my clients saw it play out almost like clockwork with her 13 months old.

Two short nursery naps, a rough night that followed.

Two good naps at home the next day, and the night was so much easier.

Once you can see the link, you can actually work with it, instead of just bracing for a bad night every time nursery naps go short.

DM NURSERY and let's work out what your child's nap days are telling you about their sleep.

You probably already know roughly what needs to change about your toddler’s sleep.

Maybe you’ve saved every sleep post that’s popped up on Instagram.

Read every blog you could find.

Googled “why won’t my toddler sleep for more than 3 hours?” more times than you’d like to admit. 😂

Maybe you even have a pretty good idea of what you should be doing…

But knowing what needs to change isn’t always the hard part.

Trusting yourself to actually do it is.

Standing outside their room wondering whether you should go in.

Wondering if you’re being too strict.

Wondering if you’re making the right decision.

Then night four rolls around, you’re exhausted, and you’re thinking…

“Is this even working?”

And that’s usually the point where confidence disappears and the plan goes out the window.

Because a sleep plan is only half of the support.

The other half is having someone in your corner while you follow it.

Someone who can help you work out what to do when things don’t go exactly to plan.

Someone to remind you that one rubbish nap doesn’t mean everything is falling apart.

Someone to help you stop second-guessing every decision at 2am.

Because the goal isn’t just a child who sleeps.

It’s you feeling confident in what you’re doing.

Knowing what your child needs.

Knowing what to do when things change.

And feeling like you can handle the next sleep wobble without immediately Googling it at midnight. 😅

Your sleep matters just as much as your child’s. 🫶

And that’s why I don’t just build you a sleep plan.

I build you up too.

Sleep was already up and down before the holidays, but you didn’t do anything about it, because summer was coming.

You knew bedtime would slip a bit, sunny evenings, more time out and about, days at the beach, the paddling pool, seeing friends.

So you accepted that over the 6 weeks of summer, sleep would go a bit wild. And it did. It did for me and my kids too.

But now September’s here.
You’re back at work, back at school and nursery runs, and sleep still isn’t any better.

Your normal routine hasn’t fixed the bad sleep.

And when you think back to before summer... sleep wasn’t great then either.

You know you’re finally ready to sort your toddler’s sleep, because summer didn’t just throw things off track. Your toddler’s sleep was already exhausting you before that.

DM OCTOBER to get sleep sorted now, rather than waiting another 6 weeks.
