Congratulations to our Nick, the 2026 Tonnellerie de Mercurey Young W**emaker of the Year!

This award recognises Nick’s skills across w**emaking, business management and w**e tourism. We couldn’t be more proud.

Congrats to Aaron from Coxhead W**es and Joshua from Lincoln University for making to the final too.

Nick has earned himself a trip to Burgundy to visit Tonnellerie de Mercurey, tickets to upcoming w**e conferences and a spot as an Associate Judge at the New World W**e Awards, among other prizes. Congrats Nick!

New Zealand Pinot Noir is among the best in the world, and our Isabel Estate 2024 Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is no exception.

We couldn’t be prouder of Isabel Estate’s w**emaker, Nick Lamain, who won the Marlborough Regional Final of the NZ Young W**emaker of the Year competition on Wednesday evening.
Following his win, Nick said: "I feel very fortunate to be backed up by such a great dynamic team at Isabel Estate. Being under Jeremy McKenzie's wing has been hugely rewarding and inspiring."
Nick will now join two other regional winners at the National Final next month. Best of luck, Nick!

Today we celebrate one of Marlborough's best-kept secrets... Chardonnay.

It was Chardonnay that laid the foundations for Isabel Estate, with our very first plantings put in the ground back in 1980. Our Wild Barrique Chardonnay is sourced directly from these legacy blocks. 100% wild-fermented with extended time on lees, the result is a w**e defined by exceptional purity, elegant complexity, and a rich, texturally driven finish.

Today our w**emaker, Nick, is celebrating the elegance and versatility of Isabel's "quiet achiever" - Pinot Gris.

Thanks to our mature vines, planted in 1995, every sip of this beautiful dry-style w**e bursts with crisp red apple and pear, beautifully balanced by hints of jasmine and a touch of ginger spice. It truly captures the cool, refreshing climate of our world-famous Marlborough home!

This month, we're celebrating the white varietals that are so special to our estate, kicking off with 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄.

As one of Marlborough's founding w**eries, we are focused on crafting w**es that reflect the true terroir of the region. Our Estate-grown Sauvignon Blanc, boasting vines over 40 years old, benefits from its rich soils and world-renowned cool climate.
