“Be there for others, but never leave yourself behind.” Dodinsky

Ladies, it is time to put yourself on your to-do list!

Staggering data from various studies (HBR, Ipsos, Herstory, etc), reveal that 70-80% of women often put their self-care last after work, family, and other obligations. Yes! Women are battling a self-care deficit. This can lead to increased stress, burnout, and a disconnect from what fuels our joy and passion. We juggle careers, family, and endless responsibilities, often leaving little room for ourselves. It is time to change that narrative.

I have been there—prioritizing everything and everyone above myself until I realized I was running on empty. Last year, I took a leap of faith and joined a restorative retreat led by S***a Vaidyanathan at BeingSattvaa Resort - it was nothing short of transformative. The personal and professional growth I experienced was profound, and it is something I believe every woman deserves.

I want the same for you! That is why I am excited to extend this personal invitation to the "Journey to Bliss and Balance" Women's Retreat at BeingSattvaa in Ubud, Bali, from April 24th to 28th, 2024.
This is not just a getaway; it is a deep dive into self-care for your mind, body, and spirit.

Imagine stepping away from the daily grind to restore your inner balance with restorative yoga and mindful quiet time.

Picture yourself gaining fresh perspectives through reflective journaling workshops and empowering coaching sessions.

Visualize rejuvenating your body with nourishing meals and gentle yoga amid Bali's serene beauty.

Envision reconnecting with your true self through deep healing sessions and personal reflection time.

And think of the invaluable social connections you will make with like-minded women, fostering a community that supports each other's growth.

Last year's retreat was a turning point for me. It was not just about relaxation; it was about transformation—professionally I soared, personally, I found peace, and spiritually I connected with a community of women who understood the journey. It gave me clarity, courage, and the balance I needed to craft a life of greater meaning - on my terms.

Do not let another year pass without giving yourself the gift of time and space to simply be. It's time to invest in ourselves.
We have just 4 more spots, so secure your place in this life-changing retreat today.
Let us embark on this journey together. Secure your spot now and join the tribe of women ready to embrace self-care and empowerment. Because when we thrive, everything around us flourishes too.

Your future self will thank you.

We know that the chances of being promoted, hired, getting a raise or even a bonus is partly contingent on self-promotion. When asking both men and women to make self-assessments, a 2019 Harvard Business Review study finds that “women systematically provided less favorable assessments of their past performance and potential future ability than equally performing men.” Hence creating a substantial gender gap over time.

This gap is also exacerbated by women holding themselves back to avoid being perceived as doing ‘too much’ self-promoting.

For a fresh perspective on this, join us at the Asian Women Leadership Program’s Master Class Series: Being Intentionally Visible- Stand Up and Stand Out on 27 Jan 2021.

Scholarly research shows that women are stuck in a double bind at work, where those who demonstrate masculine traits face backlash while those who lack them risk being dismissed as incompetent. Confronted with such professional norms, women use ‘intentional invisibility’ to respond to bias and discrimination, where they avoid conflicts and the spotlight. This in turn limits their opportunities for advancement. An article in Forbes (2019) highlighted that women fear success more than failure. Women fear the attention that comes with success.

Join us in our Masterclass: Being intentionally visible: Stand up and Stand out! Find out how you can pave your pathways to flourish and harness your potentials. Importantly, how you can stop being hidden figures in the corporate and business world.

The slowdown in recent months has given us the time and opportunity to invest in personal and professional growth - to become a better version of ourselves.

I love this quote from Vishen Lakhiani Mindvalley
"Grow so fast that your friends who haven't seen you in a month have to get to know you all over again".
As you grow with new knowledge and skills, you become more attractive and interesting to be with. You become more visible and get noticed for the woman that you are.

Are you ready to be on the path to becoming a better version of yourself? Join our Masterclass on " Being Intentionally Visible: Stand Up and Stand Out" on the 10th November 2020, (SGT). Register now via this link: https://forms.gle/7tyHSJcNF3g9zm8n6

Asian Women Leadership Program (commencing on the 25th of November 2020)

Ms. Trinh Tran Chau, Hotel Manager of the Barracks Hotel and the Outpost Hotel, shares her excitement in participating in the Asian Women Leadership Program.

“As Asian women, we tend to shy away from the limelight because we want to be humble, or we are so afraid to take that one bold step because we don't believe in ourselves enough. So, this program will help us reset our priorities, eliminate our limiting beliefs, and provide us with all the insightful knowledge, tools, and skills that will empower us to be the best version of ourselves as business leaders.”

It is such a privilege and delight to have co-authored the book – ‘Making a Difference– Inspiring Stories of Triumph Over Trials’ with 22 Speakers Tribe Global Members. The book articulates, through the narratives, our trials and challenges that we hope will be an inspiration to those who read and perhaps, be a “survival guide” to someone who needs. It is a fascinating collection of transformative stories of courage, hope, resilience, grit, and wisdom.

Everyone has a story to tell and my chapter is a space for me to celebrate women for who we are. This is my story of awakening from fear and celebrating myself as a woman.
Please support through the purchase of this book as all proceeds will be channeled to a charity-International Teachers’ Guild, for sponsoring the education of the less privileged children of the society.

My sincere gratitude to the amazing team who made this vision possible: Asootosh Kkant Bedi singh Angel DrAnita
VZ. And of course, to Sam Cawthorn for your inspiration!
