This is what we want the recruiting process to look like.
Congratulations to Mikey Poncy and his family on Mikey’s commitment to continue his academic and baseball career at Hamilton College.

Over nine months working together, Mikey explored a wide range of possibilities, figured out what really mattered to him, narrowed his choices to several terrific opportunities, and ultimately chose the school that felt right for him—as a baseball player, a student, and a person.

His parents described the experience better than we could:

Yes, our job is to help young people find opportunities to play college baseball. But the best recruiting processes do more than produce a commitment. They help a young person learn to communicate, make difficult decisions, understand what matters to them, and take ownership of where they’re headed.
Mikey did exactly that.

Been a fun stretch of JBC guys committing and new guys reaching out to get started. Excited about both. We will have another 75+ commitments in the 2027 class and 2028s are starting to make decisions as well. Congratulations to Noah Davis and welcome aboard Maddox Helsley!

It's been an incredible year for our baseball consulting practice as we continue to grow and expand into other sports. We're hearing from players and families all over the country, and we're truly grateful to everyone who continues to share what we do and trust us with such an important part of their journey.

One player I'm especially excited about is Reid Patton from the Orlando, Florida area.

Over more than 20 years in this business, one thing has remained true: big-time players consistently show up in big moments.

At a recent showcase at Boston College, Reid certainly did. He went 3-for-3, launching a home run out of a college ballpark and adding two doubles. Defensively, he's a switch-hitting middle infielder who also gets it done on the mound, touching 89 mph previously and 87 mph that day. And if that's not enough, he can really run, posting a 6.5-second 60-yard dash.

The tools are impressive, but even more impressive is the young man behind them. I'm excited that JBC gets the opportunity to walk alongside Reid and his family throughout this recruiting journey.
