Hope everyone has enjoyed their Labor Day weekend! We decided to stay home this weekend since I’ve been traveling so much lately, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. We hit our city’s Saturday farmers market, enjoyed a fun family day, and… we FINALLY joined Costco. 😂

And apparently, joining Costco means buying pretty much the entire store. According to my family, we absolutely needed air purifiers, a red-light face lamp, new towels, Italian wine… and who knows what else somehow made it into that cart. 🤷‍♀️

Of course, no first Costco trip would be complete without the famous $1.50 hot dog before we left. 🌭

Sometimes a weekend at home, a little family time, and an unnecessarily full Costco cart are all you need. 😂

I am a big fan of state and national dealer association conferences.

When I started working for my dad in my early 20s, our focus was simple—we hustled every day to buy inventory, sell cars, collect payments, and make sure the bills got paid. Like many dealers, we were so busy working in the business that we rarely had time to work on it.

Then I attended my first CIADA Conference around 2010, and it completely changed my perspective. I quickly realized the value of learning from others in our industry, building relationships with fellow dealers, connecting with vendors, hearing from industry leaders, and discovering new technology that could help move our business forward.

I had an incredible time at the TIADA Conference last week—speaking, learning, and reconnecting with so many great people. Thank you to everyone who made it such a worthwhile event.

Now it’s on to a busy fall with Godwin Consulting Group training events in September, October, and December. I’m looking forward to helping even more dealerships grow and improve their operations.
