Dear Team,
Today, we pause to honor the U.S. military veterans in our CHCP community and across the nation. To all who have served thank you. Your courage, sacrifice, and commitment to something larger than yourselves exemplify the values we strive to live every day.
Veterans Day is a time to recognize and thank all men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces, in both wartime and peacetime. It is distinct from Memorial Day, which honors those who gave their lives in service, and from Armed Forces Day, which recognizes those currently serving.
As we pause to honor our veterans, today is also a time to reflect on how we can show our appreciation in meaningful ways. Even small gestures of gratitude can have a lasting impact. Here are a few simple ways we can observe Veterans Day and express our thanks to those who have served:
Take a moment to personally thank a colleague, family member, or friend who is a veteran.
Spend time learning about the history of Veterans Day or exploring the contributions of veterans in your own community.
If you are a veteran, and feel comfortable, consider sharing your branch of service or a brief reflection with your team so we can recognize you personally.
To our veteran colleagues, we are deeply grateful for your service and the example you set for all of us. Your commitment to integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence the very values that define CHCP continues to inspire our community.
Thank you all for taking a few moments today to reflect and show appreciation in ways that honor the true spirit of Veterans Day.
With gratitude,
