Nerd Nite Louisville It's like TED Talks, but with more beer. Now imagine that while drinking. Then multiply that by 100. That is Nerd Nite Louisville.

Nerd Nite is a monthly event held in more than 90 cities across the globe during which several folks give 18-21-minute fun-yet-informative presentations across all disciplines – while the audience drinks along. Shoutout to Mike for a great talk today on gas station rehabs. πŸ› οΈ

Seeing how these old stations are being repurposed into spaces that have nothing to do with carsβ€”and looking so sharp doing itβ€”is next-level community revitalizing. Such a cool way to preserve local character while building something fresh. πŸ‘

Huge shoutout to John Oneil for the crash course on aircraft deicing. βœˆοΈβ„οΈ

Key takeaway? I am officially never flying in the winter again unless I absolutely have toβ€”getting stranded in a snowbank is not on my bucket list.

Jokes aside, the science and logistics behind keeping planes safe in freezing conditions are wild. Mad respect to the people who’ve studied this inside and out so the world keeps moving.

Have you ever had a crazy winter flight delay?

πŸ”¬πŸ” Great job, Dr. Jaz, on an incredible presentation exploring the microscopic world through electron microscopes! It's fascinating to see the tiniest details of things we never get to see with the naked eye. 🀯🧬

Super cool stuff! Now I understand why people don't like watching movies like ANTMAN with you! πŸ˜‚πŸŽ¬ You're probably analyzing every little detail!

πŸ‘πŸΎ Keep making science fun and fascinating!
