We often hear about the benefits of humans getting some sunlight within the first 10 minutes of waking, and a little reminder: the same goes for your pups. ☀️

And that’s where we come in! At Prefurred Pets Nashville, we’re more than just a dog walking service. Sometimes our walkers spend the full 30 minutes sitting out in the yard with your pup while they roll around in the grass, sniff everything in sight, or just enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.

Sometimes, they just need a little outside time and someone to hang with.

Meanwhile, these are the faces we’re seeing. 😂🎾

Not every visit has to mean a walk. Sometimes it means playing fetch until they’re ready for a break, getting some extra enrichment, or simply hanging out and getting some attention.

We’re always watching for their cues, like:

👉 Loose, relaxed body language
👉 Bringing toys back and asking to keep playing
👉 Engaging with us and their surroundings
👉 Taking breaks when they need them
👉 Showing excitement when we arrive

We follow their lead because their comfort and happiness will always come first.

Which type of dog are you? 🤣

P.S. We never force a dog to come to us unless they feel comfortable. We’re in their safe space, so if they prefer to lounge on their own, we welcome it! We’ll always gently initiate play and cuddles, but if they opt out, that’s totally okay.

Big dogs, big personalities, and even bigger hearts.

A few of the bigger pups we get to hang out with around Nashville! From German Shepherds to Black Labs to Goldendoodles, we love them all.

One thing we’ve learned from caring for so many different breeds is that every dog has their own routine, personality, and needs. Bigger breeds especially thrive with plenty of exercise, consistency, and attention throughout the day. Knowing what works for your individual pup is what makes all the difference.
