🎃 This week’s Educational Moment with Daniel Eckhard was all about FEAR!

Halloween may be the season for scary things, but there’s one fear we need to leave behind — the fear of inviting someone to BNI.

Think about it: everyone in our room probably knows at least one business owner or professional who could benefit from the relationships, connections, and opportunities we’re building every Tuesday.

Don’t let the fear of hearing no stop you from making the call. Invite them. Let them come see what we do, meet the people in the room, and experience Rainmakers for themselves. If they see the value, who knows where that invitation could lead?

This week, we also got to hear from Juan Hurtado with Schoepf Sapp and Associates and learn more about the person behind the numbers.

This week, we also got to hear from David Martnick with Sentinel Roofing during his 8-Minute Presentation! 🏠🔨

Not only did we learn about roofing—we got to learn more about David and his story. One of my favorite parts was hearing about the time he went to a customer’s house looking to sell a roof…and ended up coming home with a dog! 😂🐶 The roof came later, but he got himself a pretty great dog out of the deal!

That story says a lot about how David approaches his business: relationships first. He takes the time to educate homeowners, explain the details of replacing a roof, answer questions, and be honest about whether you actually need a new roof.

This week we had the opportunity to learn more about Kevin Ledzian with Comprehensive Financial Advisors — and his WHY behind becoming a financial advisor is worth hearing.

Kevin comes from a family of engineers and spent much of his own career in engineering, but his path into financial planning became personal. After seeing people he cared about receive financial guidance that wasn't truly looking out for their best interests, he decided to educate himself and ultimately help make sure other families don't go through the same thing.

And that's what stands out about Kevin. It's not just about getting your business. It's about protecting people.

Whether you're approaching retirement, changing jobs and have an old 401(k), recently married, planning for your children's education, running a small business, or simply need someone you can trust to sit down and explain your options — Kevin is someone worth knowing.

This week’s Educational Moment came from Daniel Eckhard with Straight Line Construction, and the message was simple: What does your BNI bank account look like? 💰

You can’t keep swiping the card if you’re not making deposits! The same goes for your Power of One. Are you having intentional 1-to-1s? Bringing visitors? Passing referrals? Showing up and building relationships?

It’s okay to make a withdrawal — that’s part of why we’re here. But make sure you’re making deposits, too. The more time you invest in people, the more relationships and trust you build. And sometimes one strong relationship opens the door to an entire network of connections.

So check your Power of One: Are you depositing more than you’re withdrawing? 💳🏦
