If you’re at the Santa Barbara Vintners Festival today, c’mon by the Rancho Sisquoc booth and meet our w**emaker Steven Smith. If you’re lucky, you’ll meet his lovely wife Danielle. And if you get our enologist Steve McCrank, we’ll then, your luck may have run out. Because that guy will lead you down random rabbit holes. But try us anyway, we’d love to see y’all. Hard to believe that we are already one month into the 2026 harvest! This is a record early start by about a month. So far, w**emaker Steven Smith and his crew have received nearly 50 tons from our estate vineyards. This includes 4 clones of Chardonnay, 3 of Pinot Noir, our Rose, Sylvaner and tomorrow Sauvignon Blanc. We’ve even completed a few fermentations and most are near completion.
Another way to sum it up: it’s been coconuts around here!

The earliest start to harvest ever!

Today we began the 2026 harvest with Chardonnay clone 1066. This tiny berry with big flavor selection of Chardonnay ripens particularly early, but the other four clones we have planted are not far behind. The early budbreak and hot march set the course for an early start to the 2026 vintage.
