I've been working with a client for the past 18 months who wanted to stop working in the business so she could work on it. That commitment required her to make some difficult decisions, including radically changing her team (aka, the devil she knew). But within 8 months, it produced a strong core team that now capably handles day-to-day operations, allowing her to focus on strategy and growth. Over the years, I can think of countless clients who never shared their business vision with those around them. That could include employees, contractors, referral partners, or key vendors. If the people supporting your daily outcomes don't understand the bigger picture their efforts serve, their decision-making likely falls short in some ways. That's not their fault, they just lack context. When everyone involved understands and buys into the vision you are trying to achieve, they can bring substantially better commitment, mindset, and solutions to the table.
