Sharakpur welcomes its newest principal: Ms. Durani Waziri.
Durani Waziri is an international legal and policy expert with over 18 years of experience in governance, legal reform, alternative dispute resolution, and public policy in fragile and conflict-affected environments. She has served in senior governmental, political, academic, and international advisory roles, including as Chief Legal Advisor to the National Security Council of Afghanistan and Deputy Press Secretary to the President of Afghanistan. Her expertise spans rule of law development, governance reform, mediation, transitional justice, national security policy, and institutional accountability. Durani has conducted legal and policy research at George Washington University and Georgetown University Law Center and serves as a Local Expert for the World Bank’s Women, Business and the Law Project. She holds an LL.M. in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution from George Washington University, an LL.M. in Good Governance and Rule of Law from Ohio Northern University, and a B.A. in Islamic Law from Kabul University. Fluent in English, Dari, and Pashto, with professional proficiency in Arabic.
