Made like a Bourbon: NED take inspiration from our American friends to produce a whisky of world class taste and quality.
It uses bourbon production techniques but we refuse to cut corners.

World’s Best Grain: NED is made grain-to-bottle at their Melbourne distillery, with Australian grains - corn, wheat and barley sourced from our local farmers who we think are the best in the world. Using the historic sour mash fermentation technique, NED is milled, brewed and distilled on site.

Distilled by Hand: As the spirit runs off the copper pot still in its second distillation run, the expert distillers determine the heart cut by sensory evaluation. It ensures that every drop going into the 200 litre American Oak barrels is at the quality they demand.

Why NED? NED was born from a desire to create a locally-crafted Australian whisky that gave Australian dark spirits drinkers a genuine choice and something to call their own. They built their grain-to-bottle distillery in Campbellfield, just north of the Melbourne CBD. It’s there the brewing and distilling team craft their award-winning whisky and lay it down in white American oak barrels to mature in the dynamic Melbourne climate.
