In coming! 👉🏻Ba Zi Chinese Astrology + Lunisolar calendar insights land now 👉🏻🤓. Jiǎ Wǔ 甲午 Wood Horse and 芒種/芒种 Máng Zhòng - Feather Seed begins at 11:48pm UTC+8 today in the Northern Hemisphere. Weather report time! This pillar appears as a benevolent being, full of passion, inspiration and the gusto for justice. It is a beautiful sight, and awe-inspiring with the Yang Wood from the Heavens leading the charge of benevolence, growth and justice to humankind in the world. With the Fire of the Horse, this creates a passionate inspiring the light as they lead the charge. It may seem like a nourishing Shēng-Producing 生 relationship, however, the Fire below is influencing the Wood above, thus causing Wood to have output, and drain. This represents creative thought or sometimes, outside the box thinking, with a follow through of a quick and impulsiveness.
Eyes open! The Lunisolar node of Máng Zhòng - Feather Seed 芒種/芒种 signifies in nature the time where wheat grows ripe, millets seed, and corn is on the ear. Have a look! 👀
Globally, be aware of impulsive acts with the intention of service to humanity, but impulsively acted upon and implemented, which may come at a sabotaging cost. Weather report time! Chinese astrology + Lunisolar calendar insights land now 👉🏻🤓 Water Serpent - Guǐ Sì 癸巳 and 立夏 Lì Xià - Summer Stands begins today at 19:48 in the Northern Hemisphere. While this pillar represents a Kè-Restraining 克/剋 relationship, it is a unique beautiful one. It is a Yin Water from the Heavens 🌧️, yet Yang Fire from the Earth ☀️. One would think the Yin Water clouds would put out the fire, and block the sun, yet with a Pillar, the bottom influences the top. Thus with this pillar, the sunlight is pushing through and shining through the clouds. In the darkness, there is light. This pillar also represents creative thinking that has the ability to use their wise and intellectual knowledge, to create with bright ideas and inspiration. The only conflict that remains here is how to implement those ideas – do you follow the rules based, current order, or creating a new system. In a Fire Horse year, my bet is on a creative new way.😉 Globally, this translates to a flicker of light in a new direction, yet with a push-pull disagreement on the exact pathway forward. 💁🏻‍♀️
Lesser Fullness of Grain Xiǎo Mǎn 小滿 / 小满 begins May 21. Kernels plump, more rain comes to flood the field to grow crops. Creatures roam, corn forms.

Today is a moment to recognize growth, dedication, and transformation — to pause, reflect with pride, and step forward with intention.

This year, we are deeply inspired by our keynote speaker, David Chan, and his talk:

Through his remarkable journey — from psychology and clinical work to decades of teaching acupuncture and Oriental medicine — David invites us to reflect on life’s cycles, embrace constant change, and find balance within impermanence.

Here’s your monthly Chinese astrology + Lunisolar calendar report! I am continuing to try out a new format with comments on the Pillar energetic of the month. Do you like this perspective? Enjoy! 🤓
Rén Chén 壬辰 month and 清明 Qīng Míng - Clear Brightness began at 02:39 today in the Northern Hemisphere. This pillar represents another Kè-Restraining 克/剋 relationship. Each Kè-Restraining 克/剋 has different energetics. This pillar has both Yang Earth of stubbornness and desire to keep the status quo and same routine, mixed with the Yang Water of creative ideas, flow and unique thinking. One wants things to stay the same and have repeated routines, the other always wants free flow and fresh things to enliven the senses. They both battle and desire for control → stability vs change. Many people who have this Pillar in their chart, are great at thinking of ways to work outside the box to get things done, and can tolerate movement and change, but also are homebodies. They often have this inner conflict and are highly sensory people, thus need to be grounded after times of movement. They have the ability to be sensitive and tolerant leaders, without seeking the spotlight. 🙏🏻 This month is part of a larger set design. 💁🏻‍♀️
The family festival of Qīng Míng 清明 Clear Brightness also begins. This is when when the weather gets more warm, clear + bright and we go to our ancestors resting place, clean it up to enliven the Feng Shui, which benefits all future generations and our own Chong Mai.💁🏻‍♀️ We also gather with our families to re-connect. April 20 marks Gǔ Yǔ-Grain Rain 穀雨/谷雨 where the Spring Equinox Chūn Fēn-Spring Spread 春分 where more rain will eventually bring more flowers. Here we reach the last 14 days of the Spring season, the true Earth season transition time. 🙌🏻

Another Wow! 命 Mìng and 道 Dào met with this pebble drop! Did you hear it? The ripple has begun! 🌊🙌🏻 Destiny 命 Mìng and The Way 道 Dào intersected here in Prague, and it is an honour to be a part of this path in this part of the world. I wonder if the 道 Dào meant for this by giving my 爸爸 Bàbà the insight to give me an Eastern European English name, and 命 Mìng and 道 Dào organizing it such that I would be teaching ON my Czech Name Day!😲 Incredible and feeling very blessed!🥰 Thanks-Děkuju-Xièxie 谢谢 / 謝謝 to the amazing organization and hospitality of @ kristina.tcm and her partner Milan. 🙏🏻 Much appreciation to the kind welcome of the Czech people and students, and the passion and wonder of all students that joined this BSA Foundations (L1+2) seminar! Wow, what a gift to not only have the entire BSAP Cohort 6 together in their final didactic + practical weekend, but also at our new Vancouver Chinatown location for the Tan Academy of Balance! 🥳 This group connected quick, and the space was filled with laughter, smiles, and connection + anchored and practical learning makes. Good vibes! 🤸🏻‍♀️ I am excited for them all on this close of this chapter (but not book!) of Classical Acupuncture + Chinese medicine + channel theory journey! Please join me in giving them a Woo Hoo! 🙌🏻
