This week an amazing team from Assurity Consulting used their Make a Difference Day to take part in the SEA LIFE Brighton beach clean!

“A group of four of us had the pleasure of carrying out a beach clean at Brighton for the Sea Life Centre. We set off armed with the supplied rubbish bag, gloves, litter pickers and clipboard with a form listing various items for us to record the type of rubbish we collected. Despite the wind and occasional shower, we ploughed on and managed to find 1.7kg of rubbish. This mainly comprised of cigarette butts, bottle caps and lolly sticks. It was actually surprisingly clean along the beach I am very pleased to say. When we left, we felt invigorated and very proud of the small contribution we had made to maintaining our beautiful coastline. I think all four of us would highly recommend being part of a beach clean if you get the chance in the future.” – Jane Ockenden, Customer Experience Support Supervisor

During August, we have been hosting a series of Friday ‘Sports Days’ during lunchtime at the office – for our final sports day today we held a Standing Long Jump competition (on the spongy playground surface!) and an Egg and Spoon Race!

Congratulations to our winner – Ben Coombes on winning the Standing Long Jump, jumping an incredible 2.66 metres and Markus Kullerkupp on winning the Egg and Spoon Race! An extra shout out to Ben C who has won numerous event!

Well done and thank you to everyone who took part!

During August, we have been hosting a series of Friday ‘Sports Days’ during lunchtime at the office - on Friday we had Nerf and Football Target Shooting.
