Beyond the Veil is being postponed until early 2028.
After a lot of reflection, we have made the decision to postpone this year's Beyond the Veil Psychedelic Symposium and bring it back in 2028.
The truth is, we have been thinking deeply about what Beyond the Veil is actually here to become.
We don't want it to simply be another event.
We have a much bigger dream.
We dream of a psychedelic-literate society.
A world where we can talk openly about psychedelic experiences, altered states, healing, spirituality, science, integration, risk and harm reduction.
Where people can be curious.
Where we can ask questions without judgement.
Where we can share what we know, acknowledge what we don't know, learn from one another and have genuinely intelligent conversations about these extraordinary experiences.
At the moment, we sometimes feel like we're still asking people to come out of the psychedelic closet.
And we are tired of pushing.
We don't want to be pioneers forever.
We want these conversations to become normal.
We want it to be something we can talk about openly.
And we think giving Beyond the Veil another year or so might actually help us get there.
There is another really important piece of this decision.
We cannot — and do not want to — build something of this size on our own.
We've been carrying a huge amount of the organising, financial investment, administration and driving force behind the symposium, and we've realised that if Beyond the Veil is going to become the event we envision, it needs a team.
It needs collaboration.
It needs people who are dedicated and excited to build it together.
It needs the financial and organisational foundations to support something truly exceptional.
And we want to create something extraordinary.
So rather than pushing through this year while exhausted and trying to make everything happen by sheer force of will, we are choosing to pause.
To breathe.
To build the team.
To develop the vision.
To bring together an incredible line-up of speakers.
To create the partnerships and foundations that will allow Beyond the Veil to flourish.
And then we'll come back in early 2028.
Sometimes moving forward means knowing when to stop pushing.
This isn't giving up.
It's giving the dream room to grow.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Beyond the Veil, to the incredible speakers who said yes, and to everyone who has been curious enough to join this conversation.
We still believe passionately in this work.
And we believe that when we return, we'll be ready for something really special.
Beyond the Veil 2028.
Let's see what becomes possible.
