Today we held our very first **What's Your Gift?** introductory networking lunch, and what a lovely group of business owners we had around the table!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, shared their stories, talked about their businesses, and were willing to be a little curious about what might be possible when we start connecting differently. Were you there? Please share how it was for you! And please tag yourself if I was unable 🙏

Lynska and I loved bringing this idea to life, and we're even more excited about what's ahead.

So, what makes 'What's Your Gift?' different?

Well, we're not interested in another networking group where people talk over each other, you exchange business cards, deliver your elevator pitch and forget each other by Monday morning. 😂

Beyond the Veil is being postponed until early 2028.

After a lot of reflection, we have made the decision to postpone this year's Beyond the Veil Psychedelic Symposium and bring it back in 2028.

The truth is, we have been thinking deeply about what Beyond the Veil is actually here to become.

We don't want it to simply be another event.
We have a much bigger dream.
We dream of a psychedelic-literate society.

A world where we can talk openly about psychedelic experiences, altered states, healing, spirituality, science, integration, risk and harm reduction.

Where people can be curious.
Where we can ask questions without judgement.
Where we can share what we know, acknowledge what we don't know, learn from one another and have genuinely intelligent conversations about these extraordinary experiences.

At the moment, we sometimes feel like we're still asking people to come out of the psychedelic closet.

And we are tired of pushing.
We don't want to be pioneers forever.
We want these conversations to become normal.
We want it to be something we can talk about openly.

And we think giving Beyond the Veil another year or so might actually help us get there.

There is another really important piece of this decision.

We cannot — and do not want to — build something of this size on our own.
We've been carrying a huge amount of the organising, financial investment, administration and driving force behind the symposium, and we've realised that if Beyond the Veil is going to become the event we envision, it needs a team.

It needs collaboration.
It needs people who are dedicated and excited to build it together.
It needs the financial and organisational foundations to support something truly exceptional.

And we want to create something extraordinary.

So rather than pushing through this year while exhausted and trying to make everything happen by sheer force of will, we are choosing to pause.

To breathe.
To build the team.
To develop the vision.
To bring together an incredible line-up of speakers.
To create the partnerships and foundations that will allow Beyond the Veil to flourish.

And then we'll come back in early 2028.

Sometimes moving forward means knowing when to stop pushing.
This isn't giving up.
It's giving the dream room to grow.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Beyond the Veil, to the incredible speakers who said yes, and to everyone who has been curious enough to join this conversation.

We still believe passionately in this work.
And we believe that when we return, we'll be ready for something really special.

MEN — THIS ONE IS FOR YOU.

I want to talk about something that is very close to my heart.

The Mankind Project New Warrior Training is coming to Staveley, Canterbury this October — and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I’ve watched this work change my husband, Andrew, over the past five years.

And when I say change, I mean I have witnessed a man step more deeply into himself.

I’ve watched him step up into leadership.
I’ve watched him become more conscious of who he is and how he shows up.
I’ve watched him take greater responsibility for his life, his choices and his impact.

And now, five years on, he is stepping into becoming a Primal Intelligence Coach, continuing to support men in this journey of becoming more conscious, grounded and connected.

As a woman, I see how important this work is.

Because we don't need more men who are disconnected from themselves, their emotions, their bodies, their relationships or their purpose.

We need men who are willing to look within.

Men who are prepared to challenge the old stories they've inherited about what it means to be a man.

Men who can lead without dominating.

Men who can be powerful without needing to control.

Men who can feel deeply, communicate honestly, take responsibility and stand in their integrity.

Because I believe this isn't just about men.

This is about all of us.

It's about the kind of fathers our children need.

The kind of partners women deserve.

The kind of leaders our communities need.

And ultimately, the kind of relationship we have with Gaia, Mother Earth, Papatūānuku.

If we want to change the way our society operates, we need men who are willing to do the inner work and then be the change they want to see in the world.

I have seen the difference this work can make.

I've seen it in Andrew.

And that's why I am sharing this invitation so wholeheartedly.

If you are a man who knows there is more to you…
If you feel called to step into greater leadership…
If you're ready to challenge yourself and discover what lies beyond the man you've been taught to be…

Go.

Give yourself the opportunity.

You might just discover a version of yourself you didn't know was waiting there.

I’m only just starting to integrate the magic of this weekend, from Reclaim Your Warrioress / Warrior on Thursday night and then Building Communication Bridges ~inside and out~ with Janet Redmond on Sat and Sun.

We had the absolute joy of having the incredible Janet come down to Ōtautahi again to share her wisdom, humour, boundless empathy and compassion and full-on pure and utter magic with us.

And honestly, watching what unfolded was pretty bloody special.

It felt like watching an egg begin to hatch, at first just the tiniest little fracture in the shell.

Or like the first green shoot pushing its way through the soil.

That moment when something that has been hidden starts to emerge.

So many aha moments and epiphanies!!!

On Thursday night, we held Reclaim Your Warrioress/Warrioress

We thought there were going to be 3 people.
And then 28 people walked through the door!!

Twenty-eight people willing to explore their relationship with anger, their voices, their boundaries and the ways they have learned to make themselves smaller.

And something happened that night.

People talked.
People listened.
People laughed.
People recognised themselves.

And people started telling other people.

So when we arrived at Building Communication Bridges Inside and Out on the weekend, we had gone from 10 registrations~ to having 21 people in the room!!

That is a ripple.
And I LOVE watching ripples happen.

Because I've spent many years sitting with people and watching how the stories we carry about ourselves quietly shape the way we communicate.

"I'm not enough."
"I'm too much."
"Nobody really wants to hear what I have to say."
"I'm on my own."
"I don't matter"
"My needs are a burden."

And then, without even realising it, we communicate in ways that keep proving those stories to be true.

We defend.
We withdraw.
We attack.
We people-please.
We shut down.
We assume.
We stop listening.
We stop expressing what we actually need.

And we stay in the **swamp** because the swamp is familiar.

But what if there is a garden?

What if we could learn to recognise the roadblocks to listening?

What if we could understand the roadblocks to expressing ourselves?

What if we could learn about completion loops and actually finish conversations rather than carrying all the unfinished stuff around with us?

What if we could become curious instead of defensive?

What if we could communicate in ways that create connection rather than disconnection?

And what if we started to realise~
Maybe I'm not too much.
Maybe I'm not alone.
Maybe I'm actually enough.

That is the work I love.

Because it gives us choice!

Choice about how we respond.
Choice about what stories we continue to believe.
Choice about how we show up in our relationships.
And choice about what kind of life we create.

As I watched the women and men in these spaces this weekend, I could literally see little pieces of the shell cracking.

A little more awareness.
A little more courage.
A little more honesty.
A little more possibility.
And I kept thinking~
Imagine what happens when these 21 people take that awareness home with them.

Into their marriages.
Their friendships.
Their families.
Their workplaces.
Their communities.

And then those people have conversations with other people…

And those people have conversations with someone else…

THAT is the ripple!

This is how change happens.

Not always through some huge, dramatic transformation.

Sometimes it starts with one person having one different conversation.

And that conversation changes a relationship.

And that relationship changes a family.

And that family changes a community.

That is what I'm here for- how about you?!

So thank you, Janet, for coming to Christchurch and creating such powerful spaces for us.

Thank you to everyone who said YES — especially those who stepped outside their comfort zone and into something unfamiliar.

And thank you to everyone who simply sat in the room, listened, witnessed and allowed something new to land.

I am so excited about where this is going.

And I am even more excited to welcome Janet back to Christchurch in February 💜(Date to be confirmed)

Because this weekend didn't feel like an ending.
It felt like the beginning of something.

🌱 The seed has cracked.

🌱 The first shoot is through.

🌱 And I think we're beginning to see the garden.
