We were incredibly proud to be named in The Real Review’s Top 120 Wineries of New Zealand 2026, ranking #19 overall — and over the weekend, we had the pleasure of representing Poppies at the Real Review Top Wineries event in Auckland.

It was a real privilege to be in Auckland over the weekend, pouring Poppies alongside so many of New Zealand’s top wineries and sharing our wines with everyone who came along to taste. A wonderful event, and a very special moment for our small Martinborough team.

Around 10,000 wines are blind tasted each year across New Zealand and Australia for The Real Review awards, which makes this recognition particularly special for our small winery here in Martinborough!

Our Poppies Rosé was also shortlisted in the Top 3 for Rosé Wine of the Year, from all Rosé wines tasted.

As The Real Review told us, “Your wine set the benchmark others will be measured against.”

The Poppies Tiki Tour Competition is here!

We're inviting you to take your favourite bottle of Poppies on your next adventure. Whether you're exploring somewhere new or enjoying a quiet moment close to home, share your Poppies Tiki Tour for your chance to win one of three fantastic prizes: two nights' accommodation in the Poppies Winery Apartment plus a $200 Poppies Cellar Door voucher, a $500 Poppies Cellar Door voucher, or a $300 Poppies Cellar Door voucher.

From golden beaches and mountain tops to backyard barbecues, picnics and long lunches with friends, we'd love to see where your favourite bottle of Poppies takes you.

So, we've decided it's time to celebrate.
