Margin improvement in ASCs rarely comes down to cutting costs alone. When physicians, administrators, and vendors align around clinical value, the financial results tend to follow.

Centers that track true cost per case, align supply decisions across their surgical teams, and invest in the right tools tend to find that operational clarity drives profitability, not the other way around.

💬 How is your ASC approaching the balance between clinical value and cost when evaluating supplies and technology?

Most ASCs measure efficiency by what happens inside the OR. But the biggest delays usually start before the first incision and end after the last bill goes out.

AI won't replace clinical judgment in an ASC, but it can cut the manual work around it: faster intake, less after-hours charting, quicker operative notes, and faster reimbursement.

The tools that get used are the ones built for how ASCs really operate, not repurposed from hospital-scale systems.

Read more in the comments.

Surgical care efficiency starts before the OR. See how AI helps ASCs speed up documentation, reduce delays, and get bills out faster.

Service-line expansion in ASCs involves much more than the clinical case for adding a specialty.

Can your facility support the required equipment? Do reimbursement rates and payer contracts align with the true cost of delivering care? Are new physician partners committed for the long term?

The article linked below explores several of the questions ASCs should be asking early in the process.

💬 What does your ASC evaluate first when considering a new service line?
